This place is going downhill.Stock is always depleted, and the produce is not as fresh as it use to be. With constant increase in price along with how much this store costs compared to others, this is pretty sad.

This review is for the amazing service I received from the Bakery team from Saturday March 16thI had ordered a carrot cake for my friends baby shower, and it exceeded my expectations. This was the best carrot cake the entire party had ever tasted, and was decorated so beautifully!Thankyou all so much for your hard work, and extra thanks to whom I believe was the manager, I forgot to ask for her name, but she saw I was picking up the cake alone with my baby and took the time to help me carry out my cake dispute it being a busy Saturday. I really appreciate that kindness.I look forward to ordering again for future events, thanks again longos!

Good old-fashioned service in the produce depth. And at the cashierThe rest of the big grocery stores should pay attention and learn from " Longo's"

We visited longos at Erin mills to buy a cake, the lady at that bakery was extremely rude and super unprofessional, when we asked for some suggestions, she spoke as if we know nothing about cakes, she was not friendly at all, we literally left because of how she acted. Never coming to this spot again. I can see so many comments about how unprofessional the bakery staffs are, and I’m not sure why no actions have been taken to have a friendly and professional customer service. Very disappointing, I will let everyone I know never to visit this location.

I have been going to this Longo's for seven years, ever since I moved to the area. What originally hooked me as a regular was the clean and orderly store, the quality and selection of the products, and above all, the friendly and helpful staff. Sadly, those days are over, at least as far as the friendly and helpful staff go. These days, I've experienced an increasing rudeness, lack of knowledge, and general malaise from the staff. I'm no longer met with a helpful demeanor when asking a question, but rather, someone looking like they'd rather not be asked. What's even more troubling are the staff interactions. I've heard the staff gossipping with one another about other staff. I've seen staff taking pictures from inside the store of staff outside the store taking breaks (assuming they are on a long break and want to report them). I've seen staff that are supposed to be manning check outs (with the light on), in the aisle gossipping with other staff. It's all pretty sad, because this used to be a consistently good shopping experience. I still go, because it's close and the products are still quite good (compared to others). But I have to admit, I kind of dread the interactions I'm going to have to endure while there.

Cashier standing at the self checkout today , was very rude with her body language and demeneer. If you asked if a customer needs help, wait for them to answer, don't answer for them. Appreciate it if a friendly good bye not just a stare. I am however I frequent customer of this location. There's loblaws down the street with better service .

I went into the Longo's today at Thomas and Glen Erin and I went to the bakery section and the baker seemed very uninterested in serving customers. I was waiting there for about three or four minutes before I received any service, and then she approached with an unhappy face and quite gruffly asked "what do you want?" and I think she realized my facial expression and she changed it to "can I help you?" so I did not receive a warm welcome and I was not impressed. I'm going to spread the news not to go to this particular bakery as the service is pretty bad and I wasn't feeling it so sadly, I will never be returning this Longos. She was very angry looking and I felt very taken aback. If you don't serve the customer you have no business! They just lost my business for the entire store on that one representation of the entire store! That's not good!

Have been a regular customer for years, love the quality of the food, but the service is extremely disappointing, especially from the ladies at the bakery. They completely disregard their customers and I have repeatedly seen them treat people with attitude including myself which is a shame, because the bakery is so great. Kindness goes a long way.

Two older ladies in the bakery chatting away, even though they saw a customer standing there. One lady starts going over and then tells the male behind the counter that ‘actually you can go’. He is lovely. I pick a cake and ask for Happy Birthday………’. He tells me the name is too long and can he just shorten it to…… No. that’s not her name. Two women still chatting. Left the cake and the store. Spent my $$$ elsewhere. Older, brown-haired lady has always been visibly irked when asked to do her job in the past. Today was enough. Longos have lost this customer.

Elva in the floral department is amazing. She put together this beautiful bouquet for me to surprise my friend on her wedding day. She's professional and so helpful. Would recommend her to anyone.

This location used to have good service but I've noticed a steady decline in service (ironic, given the record profits Longos is making). On a recent visit I tried to buy a single item (a watermelon for $5.99). I tried to checkout using the self service lanes but when I scanned my item, the POS terminal said there was a problem requiring employee intervention. Not a single employee in sight to service the 5 self service lanes. I waited, and waited and waited some more and no help arrived. Out of frustration, I gave up and walked out without purchasing anything. The only value proposition that self service lanes have is they can be faster than a regular checkout lane. Incidence like these are frustrating and frankly I don't appreciate having my time wasted. Went to their nearest competitor and bought a comparable product with no fuss. Sadly this is now an all to common occurrence at Longos. It wasn't always like this. Disappointing.I'm sure you'll respond with some kind of generic corporate response saying you'll take this up with your management team. I really don't expect you to do anything to rectify this as I suspect the low level of customer service is an intentional cost saving measure.

Used to love longos but every time we get any form of lettuce at least 30% of it is rotton. tired of picking through to find what is good.July 2023 update. Came in for tomatoes. All they have is cherry, grape and mid sized tomatoes. As I am searching I see watermelon that is wrapped and ready for sale but looks like it is rotting. Pictures attached. This location continues to get worse.
