This shop is great. I have a w212 whose transfer case was acting up. They changed the bearings in it - did it very fast and explained the process to me in very detail. I was very curious to know more about it and they gave me all the answers. Additionally, their pricing is very competent as well. Great to work with!

Shiftfix repaired my transmission issue in August/September this year. I was originally told by the dealer that I had to replace my entire transmission at a ridiculous cost. Note: the dealer had told me this after they had already done a costly but unnecessary replacement of the valve body assembly! Evgenii diagnosed the real problem and quoted me a reasonable cost to repair. He told me a new transmission was not needed. Its been months now and the transmission is running flawlessly. I wish I had went directly to Shiftfix at the outset!

Evgeni & his team are very knowlegable & professiional. Evgeni answered all my questions. He took the time to show me my old transmission pan & what they found. They got me in as scheduled. Shitfix prices were more affordable compared to the competition. I would recommend Shiftfix 100%.

Brought in a 2018 Camro with mild hesitation in shifting when cold, I had not realized just how bad it was. After a flush and filter as well as a modification specified by Chevrolet TSB the car was much more responsive. This was further confirmed when about 2 blocks away from the shop I put it sideways around a corner right in front of a cop. Using my receipt I was able to convince him it was a muscle memory mistake and not stunt driving, car feels fun again.
They did wonders with a previous vehicle as well, highly recommend.

If I had to write a review it would go like this….
Eugeni my new friend… has done the impossible for what I thought was impossible. I have a CLK 500 that has been having transmission issues for the last 2 years at least. Well that was the past now. Eugeni gave my car its life back. And in return I will tell the world that this is the BEST transmission shop in the GTA. He’s the best and you don’t need to go to the rest. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 - Honest, Professional, and Highly Skilled Transmission Specialists
I recently took my Audi Q5 to Ismond and Evgenii for a rear differential repair and DSG service, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, they were extremely professional, polite, and easy to work with.
One of the biggest standouts was their help with my insurance claim — something most workshops avoid due to the paperwork and delays involved. These guys handled it smoothly, saving me the stress and making sure everything was done properly.
They also offer free diagnostics, which is rare these days. While most places charge $100+ just to check what’s wrong, Ismond and Evgenii diagnosed the issue at no cost and only charged for the actual repair — which was $600–$700 cheaper than what other shops quoted me.
The work was done with great care and attention to detail. Evgenii was especially helpful — always respectful, responsive, and willing to explain everything clearly, unlike many mechanics who barely return calls or talk down to customers.
One small downside is that they only specialize in transmission and drivetrain-related issues — they don’t do general vehicle servicing. It would be amazing if they expanded their offerings, because I’d trust them with all my car needs if they did.
Still, if you need any transmission or differential work done, I highly recommend them. Honest pricing, quality workmanship, and top-tier customer service.

# 1 transmission repar shop in the gta thank you to the owner and his crew. They were honest reliable and trustworthy gave me a great quote for trasmission. Repair after dozens of shops gave me over priced quotes. Even the dealer infinity/Nissan gave me an outrageous price. So I cane to shiftfix after see the reviews. And from family friends. About how good the work is. So I dropped my 2017qx60 off and they took care of me had me back on the road in less then a week. Thanks again guys.

These guys are absolutely excellent. I brought them my transmission that’s from an ice cream truck and I needed it asap to get back to work. Not only did Evgenii have it done in a day, when I brought the transmission back to my mechanic to reinstall it, he was very impressed with the quality of work and told me I got my money’s worth. These guys know what they’re doing and I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Evgenii is a master at his craft and he was sympathetic to my rushed situation. Thank you!

I had an excellent experience at ShiftFix! They provided a complimentary diagnostic for my vehicle and informed me that my transmission was in great condition. It turned out that I just needed a new coil because one of my spark plugs was misfiring. I truly appreciate their honesty and transparency throughout the process. My mechanic told me my transmission was gone and I needed to scrap my car, I only had this car for around seven months so my heart was broken. I called Shiftfix and spoke to Ismond For around five minutes explaining to him what the problem was and he Told me to tow the vehicle to their shop and they will look Over the transmission and let me know what was wrong; He is so knowledgable, listening to him speak help to put my mind at ease and give me some hope so I tow towed my car from Toronto to Mississauga ; thank God I listen to him because I didn’t need a new transmission I only had a blockage and needed my filter to be replaced. thank you so much for your Great work and honest opinion you found a loyal customer in me and I recommend you and your team to anyone .Keep up the fantastic work.👍

I recently had issues with my transmission on my 09 BMW 335xi (high mileage at 258k kms). I had couple quotes from tranny shops in Ottawa (currently live here) and the quotes were quite high compared to SHIFTFIX (Almost 2-4k difference depending on which option I went with). It was fixed within timeline that I requested and it drove perfectly back.
I would highly recommend this shop for any transmission work.
