Good place to shop for most electronics, very limited stock and limited models on display compared to the Merivale store which is a bigger and brighter store.Love Best Buy return policy, never had any issues with returning opened items as long as it was within their return policy.As someone else said, some employees do have body odour. Lots of visible minorities in this store, shows the diversity, my friend with me said he heard mostly the panjabi and guzarati spoken a lot the time we were in the store. All were helpful though.The Geek Squad is a hit and miss. If you get the guy without an accent, you are lucky, he's the best, helped our family numerous times and knows exectly what the issue is, fixes in mins. The girls with the thick accents, don't think they are technicians at all, they check google right there for solutions and if not call the guy to come and fix it. Not techs, just there for Best Buy diversity I guess.Although most offer help, many are not properly trained or educated in the products but they'll tell you everything about the membership and extra warranties.All in all a good store but too much diverse, I felt like a minority there, kind of scared me at first. It seems like all the south asian international students from Algonquin College are working here.

A nice locally located technology store. I have purchased from here many times without any regrets.Staff is very friendly, very knowledgeable, and very helpful.What I gind very helpful is thier price match guarantee at the time of purchase or if prices go lower in the near future.

They would not let me return my Nvidia Shield less than two months after purchase. The controller stopped working after the OEM batteries leaked acid. This seems to be their policy. 30 days, then you have to go through manufacturer warranty. I thought Best Buy was better than that but apparently not.I spent about 1000$/year at this store.This has deterred me from shopping at this mega corporation. Moving forward I'm shopping elsewhere.

Not only does the staff barely know anything, but the BODY ODOR of 95% of them is reason alone to never come to this location. For anything holy, please talk to every single one of your staff and ask them to practice hygiene. Before anyone thinks this is a human rights issue, remember that I also have a human right to not have my eyes tear when standing 10 ft away from someone. One employee, sure. 95% of them? Unacceptable. It's Best Buy, not Best Odor.

I stopped by yesterday to purchase a case for my "new" Android phone. I was singularly unimpressed by the customer support I received from the teenager on duty at the Mobile Phone CounterFirst, when I arrived, he was serving another customer, so I sat in a chair that was positioned across from the counter and waited. I would have expected, once he finished with that customer, that he would either called out "next" or asked me "if he could help me?". Instead, nothingSo, as there were no other customers at that time, I went up to the counter and asked what they had for covers for my phone, mentioning what I would prefer to purchase. Instead of either checking the computer to find out what they had or showing me where the Android phone cases were and helping me find what I wanted, he simply stated that I'll "find the Android cases over there", and pointed to the display rackWell, I knew where that was, seeing as I passed it on the way in to the Mobile Phone Counter; but I was hoping to avoid having to search through this display rack myself. I'm tall and the rack is short. Plus, I have arthritis in my knees so bending down is not comfortable. Also, as an employee there, one would expect that his familiarity with the display would help him make a much quicker time of any search than I could possibly complete, even without arthritis. Nevertheless, given the "enthusiastic" customer support I received from this young man (not), I felt I was left with no other choice but to painfully search through everything in the display myselfSadly, there was not a single case on the display that was suitable for my phone. I've now bought what I want through Amazon. So no sale for Best Buy~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~(From 2018 - it was 4 Stars)Good selection of home and small business electronics as well as entertainment media. Their prices are competitive; and certainly even better when there is a sale. However, personally, I find their VIP events, held a couple times a year, are more hype than substance. Yes, things are on sale during these events, but you don't need to register for the event in advance to buy at the sale prices. I have yet to figure out any benefit in registering for the event except for getting a contest entry which I never win.One caution to note is that not all sales reps are equally knowledgeable in all products Best Buy sells; so if the one "helping" is not really any help, don't worry about asking for help from someone who knows more about the product you are asking about

My son purchased a VR. He wanted to return it 1 week later because of the limited games and the prices of of the games available to purchase. HE WAS REFUSED RETURN!!! OR CREDIT!!!! REASON? IT TOUCHED HIS FACE???? We will NEVER shop there again!!! We will just order from Amazon where returns are NEVER a problem. Then you wonder why stores are closing? Do not come crying to the public when you go bankrupt

This is a nice neighborhood store for electronic needs. We frequent this establishment for years. The store is spacious and clean. But when busy time, you may not get an associate for assistance.

So we bought 4 kitchen appliances and also our 65 inches tv from Best Buy. They all have these great sales people, but when it comes to the service, I am a little disappointed . We had to first book dates for delivery . after the delivery was done, we had to then book another appointment by calling the one 800 number for someone to come install it because we had paid money to have the appliances installed and recycle old appliances at additional cost which we paid upfront . Once the appliances were installed, the deal was to also get the old appliances taken away, and the people who came to deliver the appliances will not do the installationThey will not take the old microwave and the dishwasher until the installation is done so we had to wait for the installation to be completed and the people who did the installation told us that they won’t take the old appliances to be recycled so now we have to call the third time to book an appointment for somebody to take back the used dishwasher and microwave was Wass when I got to know that our dishwasher is not installed correctly and I cannot get my dishwashing done when I call up the one 800 number the person on the phone tells me that I need to call back the store because they cannot help me after the insulation is done Overall the experience after sales service is terrible. I am tired of making multiple calls and following up with Best Buy on various service gaps .I. will not go back to Best Buy for these kind of purchases

bought a gaming computer from here, the most recent part was from 2008, completely unusable and garbage, i bought a VR and it made me motion sick and they wont return it even tho ive only used it once, they dont warn you when you cant return things

Had a horrible experience picking up my online order. I was in line and 2 people who were behind me were attended to. When I made this known yo the cashier DD, I was asked to wait and she continued serving the customer who cut the line saying he was there before me which was clearly not the case. Please teach your staff some etiquette.

We were helped by Tremaine and Shaun at the phone center. Both were super friendly, helpful and knowledgable. Best experience buying a phone and talking about plans we have ever had.

Very rude manager. We are here in the morning to return our microwave we supposed to get refund as we bought it from gift cards he was not ready to listen to us and asked us to go to Merivale store for return. It is just in a matter of minutes work but he is very rude.

Bought a series X from a different store, system was faulty so I called Best Buy which directed me to geek squad, was told they’ll have a look, no promises they can fix it but at least give me direction on what to do. I asked clarification as I am an hour away from this location and didn’t want to drive there if they couldn’t do it, told me no worries they’ll at least have a look. As I walked through the door with the system, the employees hanging by the front said that they don’t take Xbox’s, and i explained I was told multiple times they’ll take a look at it which the employee rudely replied, “yeah they always say that but they won’t take it”. So I left without anyone giving me any help. I understand miscommunication but if you’re aware with this misdirection you think you would correct it before people waste their time.

I walked into Best Buy store few days ago to check some appliances...beautiful store, well organized. However, when walk into appliance department nobody acknowledge me so I go through the department having a whole bunch of questions on my appliance purchase but nobody to assist me. After 15 minutes as I was walking out I bumped into a young guy who was scrolling through his cell phone...he look at me, just said "Hi", and continued to going through his cell phone. If this is future of service we getting in the store, then we're all in trouble. I understand those kids are al over the cell phones, but at work? Good luck Best buy!

I bought a lop top there last week.I find that the manager were a bit pushy to sell me a the Waranty, membership and many other things.The time that I was there I felt that I was like buying a car, it took me more-than an hour they didn’t have the lop top that I want because there out of stock, I ended buying a $1600 loptop.
