Most fun second-hand store in Ottawa. Great range of options and styles.

It was my first time using a consignment shop and decided to try Plato’s. The ladies working there were so kind and helpful. I was able to sell a few of my pieces. Very easy process.

made a 5 star review a few years ago, based on a recent experience down to a 1.
The staff were super friendly and attentive, 10/10.
My review is based strictly on what they are taking/paying, it’s insulting at best. Unless you are really desperate I recommend giving to a real charity. I fully support recycled clothing / resistance to fast fashion but this missed the mark.

I went to sell my brand new clothes with tags and they told me it could take up to 2 hours to go through 5 items of clothes. So I decided to leave my items and come back later just to receive a message 5 minutes after leaving that the process was complete. They only took one item and it was the only item that was used (a Zara dress). I asked why they didn’t took the rest of the clothes and said they weren’t taking any outerwear items, when the dress was outerwear. Make it make sense. People there has no knowledge of how to purchase items, you’re better of donating your clothes than bringing them here.

My daughter bring a lot of her clothes and they don’t buy anything, some of her clothes was with tags, good brand and they said that it was old, and bad used, they don’t t even check the bags, the clothes was the same as we bring it in. They said they have inventory and we bring some of the items they supposed taking, as well at the same time it was an other lady with very wear clothes and they took it, and my daughter and I just look at each other. No idea how that works. Better to sale it myself or donate it. I’ll NEVER BE BACK, I don’t recommend this place, you took the time to bring everything, you make sure you wash everything and so much work for nothing. That was our experience.

Like honestly it's kinda overpriced compared to other thrift stores and they charge so much more for clothes that would probably be the same price like if you bought them in store... and a lot of the clothes come from bad quality stores like shein and they still charge a lot.. idk I personally just think it's not worth it.
