Staff are friendly and helpful, no tax as any purchase is considered a charitable donation. Pricing can be hit or miss and no haggling but worth a visit!

Great friendly staff. Only problem i see is sometimes they dont accept certain donation items as they dont have enough space to display them... this doesnt happen on other habitats (this one is much smaller than others)

I took a truckload of new electrical supplies that were in my parents garage in old boxes, some antiques, and some tools. I was told they do not want small stuff that they cannot sell for less than $10 an item in their online store. I had a milk crate of old tools which they took, but refused to even look in the boxes. What a waste of my time and gas money. He judged that in 60 seconds and sent me away, it felt like he couldn't be bothered to even look. They sent a treasure trove of new items into the dumpster. This is why people don't bother, you try to do a good thing, spend most of the day packaging this stuff up, driving over and now I have to drive it back to my parents place and throw it in the dumpster. I get that they don't want junk, but he didn't even open 1 box! I won't be going back! Disappointing to me and the environment.

Excellent thrift store for used furnitures, friendly staff and volunteers.Store is usually quite organized and clean. Prices can be hit or miss but they do lower prices weekly if things don't sell.Always call ahead for larger donation dropoffs as they might not have the space to take in!

So I went in oct 28th 4:20 pm I had my toddler with me. I was sent by my husband to get a few things if they had them. The older gentleman staff member was there having a conversation with a friend instead of helping customers. My child then started to get fussy. I clearly vocalized I was waiting for assistance he continued to talk to this lady instead of helping making a sale. I would rather pay full price then be treated like that. Thanks no thank you hope the owner see’s this as your staff is making you lose money.

As a routine customer of the Habitat for Humanity Restore in Newmarket, I have to say that I enjoy going there each and every time. Not only is the store well organized and clean, but the staff are absolutely amazing to deal with. They always greet me with a smile, know me by name and vice versa. They are truly a pleasure to deal with and amazing at what they do! Ron and Laura in particular, go that extra mile in my opinion. I have to say that as a whole, the staff and volunteers are always so helpful, the hunt for amazing finds is always a blast, as you never know what you are going to leave with om any given day. I have never come to Restore and not purchased something, and I plan to continue supporting such a wonderful cause for many more years to come. I love knowing that I am supporting such a wonderful initiative that not only helps builds homes for those in need, but at the same time, provides household items at a fraction of the cost to many people who otherwise could not afford to furnish/renovate their homes. The price of the high quality items you find are also extremely reasonable, so please do not try and barter to have the price reduced. Firstly, doing so is not going to get you a reduction in the price, but also takes away from the objective at hand; to bring in money to help build homes to set individuals and families up for success! I have personally never felt buyers remorse after shopping at Habitat for Humanity Restore in Newmarket, because it is all for the cause!!! If you haven't visited and supported the Newmarket location, I urge you to do so because you won't be disappointed with the products or service you receive! 11/10 overall!!!!!! Thanks Habitat for Humanity Restore Newmarket Staff and volunteers! Keep on, keeping on! You are all doing wonderful work and I look forward to continuing to be a routine customer!!!!! Sincerely, Ashley B (hardware and antique furniture enthusiest)

I'm from out of town and was there on the weekend past. They have nice selection of items and resonable prices, I reconmend to all. However I tried to phone 4:45pm Monday I guess the store is closed. The message does not give the store operation hours and is confusing. I called long distance 2 times no satisfaction. The store should list the days and times of open on the web and have it in the message for after hours. However I will try again tommorow for ther is an item I want and I hoping it is this available. thanks WRM
