Modo Yoga is an incredible place that allows you to transform both your body and mind.I was a regular for two years until the pandemic hit, which led me to switch to weightlifting at a gym. However, I noticed that my body became stiffer, and my joint movements were restricted.Fortunately, I made the decision to return to Modo Yoga, and within just a few days of practice, I have experienced a remarkable improvement in my body. The staff is welcoming, and the yoga instructors are both amazing and professional. I absolutely love this place!

Same instructors as modo aurora. Really love it, good challenge and very welcoming environment. The only difference is the filtered water is in the lobby and not the bathroom.

Same instructors as modo aurora. Really love it, good challenge and very welcoming environment. The only complaint is they don't have filtered water at this location, not a big deal though.

I went to an early class and had to leave 5 min before class ended to catch my train to work downtown. I was told I wasn’t allowed to leave the class but I explained to the instructor that I didn’t have choice I had to leave, she then proceeded to say if I did decide to leave I had to go straight out and couldn’t gather any of my things because “she couldn’t be in two places at once” (I’m assuming because she was the only staff member there). I think it is wrong to not let people in and out when they need to and it is irresponsible to not have enough staff to run a business safely and efficiently. People have obligations and sometimes can’t stay the whole time but the point is they made it there and should be encouraged to exercise no matter how much time they can commit to. I think this company should reconsider its business decisions because at this point I’m not encouraged to workout here, I feel anxious about even going.

Celebrating a year of doing hot yoga at Modo! I started off volunteering and it was a wonderful experience. I really appreciated the accessibility through the volunteer program. I buy the 10 class pack as it works best for me to go on a weekly basis. The studio is always clean and well stocked. The teachers and classes are wonderful! I am very grateful - thank you!

If I could give it less than 1 star I would. HORRIBLE customer service. Any company that respects their paying customers would offer a 5 minute grace period. Glad I never wasted my money in this place. Disgusted.

My first time there I was getting the tour. I was told that I had to leave all my belongings either in the changeroom or in a cubby in the hall. I said I didn't feel comfortable doing that and she began to tell me the same thing again. No respect for how I felt despite the fact that this was the first time I had heard about this rule. Not happy with how unaccomadating she was at all. If you don't mind leaving your phone, wallet and keys unsecured and unattended maybe it's the right place for you. If not, find somewhere else

I was reluctant to come here because all my previous experience with hot yoga was with Bikram, which I absolutely did not like AT ALL! I am so glad that I decided to try it out -- the studio is extremely clean and well kept, the staff are friendly and helpful, and there are a great variety of teachers that push you to different levels. I disagree with the person below who (Alyson Hodge) who commented that they do not push you to improve your practice -- I also noticed she copy and pasted the same review on the Yoga Source Page as well. I should also add that I am, in no way affiliated with the studio.I am a certified Yoga teacher, have been practicing for years and I have been very impressed with the selection of teachers at this studio, who all have their own style and strengths. You can definitely grow your practice at this studio. I purchased their introductory month in December and its now February and I try my best to go at least 5 days a week and I absolutely LOVE IT! The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is because I wish that they provided spray bottles for people to clean their mats at the end of class like most other studios -- mats do get pretty funky and it would be nice to have that provided rather than having to bring my own spray into the studio. Would have also loved it if they had more classes that start bright and early in the morning before work so I wouldn't always have to go in the evening and perhaps some more class options in the Moon room... but overall its great and I highly recommend it!

I’ve had nothing but good experiences at Modo Yoga. Great atmosphere, great teachers, and an even better workout. They’re on my preferred list of businesses to work with that I give to clients. Highly recommend!

Wonderful studio, clean, friendly staff, The teachers are amazing. You can progress much faster if you practice hot yoga because heat helps your muscles stretch more.Lisa is a wonderful owner, her classes are unique and I enjoy her talks & sense of humour. She speaks from the heart and will go above & beyond for her clients.

I was researching and looking for a studio for some much needed yoga. Moksha Yoga Newmarket has been opened for about a year. The space is beautiful and very clean and well maintained. I took advantage of their intro special and went a few times. There are two practice rooms (tons of blocks on the wall outside the rooms), men and ladies change room. The lockers are located in the change rooms. Make sure you bring our own lock! There are several shower stalls and I believe two toilets in the ladies room. It was nice to practice again in a heated room. I usually went for the noon classes and had no issues with parking (ample!) and didn't feel like I was being squished into a practice room full of people. Lots of space. I wish they offered more power/vinyasa flow classes. I'd LOVE to do some ashtanga or a class that would push me a bit further. Looking forward to coming back though!
