I had a fantastic experience at Value Village! I'd like to give a big shoutout to the friendly and helpful person at the checkout during Monday evening. Their warm smile and excellent customer service really brightened my day. It's always a pleasure to shop here, and the great deals make it even better. Thank you for making my visit so enjoyable! Keep up the great work, Value Village team! ???

Ever since I went there, I am amazed by the extremely cooperative staff. They guided me very well and helped a lot at the self checkout. That Indian guy at self-checkout is frequent with multiple languages including mine, and made me felt like I should visit again. He also told me about the 20% off that I got after donation. I was completely unaware of that. You guys are superb and I will definitely visit again. Thank you ?

I recently visited this Value Village store, and I have to say, I was quite disappointed with the prices. $17.50 for a used sweater? $10 for Halloween props? It's safe to say that the prices were absolutely ridiculous. What's even more frustrating is that I found some items that were originally from Dollarama, priced higher here. It felt like a significant markup for second-hand goods. After this experience, I've decided that I won't be donating here anymore. It's disheartening to see such high price tags on used items, especially when my intention was to support a charitable cause through my donations. The pricing policy has certainly discouraged me from contributing further.

That place is amazing, I did a lot of thrift. Their staff is very polite, always helpful and cooperative, especially the young Indian gentleman. He helped me a lot during my self-checkout. Thanks.

Attention to job seekersIf you are looking for Part time or full time job here at Value village Newmarket please avoid wasting your time here to go for interview. They will put you to interview process and tell you that you are hired and have you sign the paper that tells you the working schedules and at the end tells you to wait for an email of when to start your first shift but they get disappear and when you call them they would tell you that our hiring is done. ( then why they don’t send an official email or tell you right on the spot that you are not successfull rather than keeping job seekers waiting expecting they would get the job. Very much disappointing with HR process - Not sure if they have proper HR system. As the Manager ( Mariam Normand)who took my wife’s interview was not able to speak English properly. Fake promises made that you will start soon here and we will send you a form to fill is totally unfair and against HR policy. I am writing this to let everyone know that don’t waste your time here. I hope value village HR is reading my message to have an inspection so that it doesn’t happen to someone else. Thank you

One of the worst Value Villages. Why does it look so run down? No longer are allowing change rooms. Was stuffy and smelled like a damp basement. Not good selection of clothes. Will no longer shop at this Value Village location. Was waste of my time sifting through their racks. Try the other second hand store in Newmarket instead.

I don't normally give bad reviews, just honest ones.I went to check this VV out - Mid day on a saturday, Im not sure if they are just short staffed, or if their workers just don't care about their jobs, but it looked like a tornado went through there. Stuff in the wrong area's and not a staff member on the floor to be found.

Nice selection of stuff. Lots of trinkets and old technology. The men's section is kind of small. But all-in-all I had a good experience I would suggest this place if you're short on cash. Especially if you're a female the women's section is very large.

Has some great finds as long as you are willing to put in the time and effort to search for them. Bought two pairs of amazing quality jeans during my last visit.

Store is not very tidy or organized. Staff is somewhat uppity for a store that receives their stock free. Very over priced. Tried to exchange items from another location and they refused the exchange. They make you feel criminal and openly talk about you while you are standing there. Inexperienced and deplorable customer service.

Time for a government in into all value village stores there is clearly something fishy going on they collect donations with the pretender of charity but are clearly just soaking customers badly I have monitored them for a long time and there pricing practices are outrageous many many items priced higher than new and in NO way should they be considered Value they are anything but people have to stop donated to them give to Salvation Army or anywhere but them I still thing there is something very very wrong if not illegal with this organisation STOP THEM

I love going thrifting at Value Village for books and games. Occasionally I find a great pair of jeans too. If you become a member you can save more money with the coupons and every time I drop off stuff I get a 20%off coupon.
