BMO was our first bank and first mortgage provider some 34 years ago. Today we were consulting with our financial advisor Henry Tai An Law, and as usual he was very knowledgeable and considerate of our specific needs.

DO NOT COME TO THIS BMO BANK. Service is so slow. It seems like no one knows what they’re doing. There are over 5 workers and only one desk is open. You will guarantee wait in line for 45 mins. An employee was eating while there was about 7 people in line with only one booth open. This bmo sucks. Hire new workers.

These guys didn’t know what they are doing they literally said student credit cards and products for newcomers don’t exist in BMO (I had to convince them otherwise by calling customer support). They instead applied for a regular credit card when I wanted to go for the one specifically made for newcomers. I filed a compliant but what can you expect from companies like BMO. Also they ran multiple credit checks without asking for my permission. All the ppl are sketchy here especially the Asian guy that’s like the manager. I’m Asian and I’m ashamed he’s an Asian also.

My experience with BMO Bank was an absolute nightmare that left me emotionally shattered. The staff, especially Anna, the regional branch manager at North York's Sheppard and Bathurst branch, treated me with a level of disrespect and cruelty that I never thought possible. When I honored their invitation to the bank on July 7th, hoping for some understanding and support, I was instead met with Anna's relentless aggression. She immediately accused me of depositing fake checks without even giving me a moment to explain. It was as if she had already made up her mind to condemn and humiliate me. Her words were like sharp daggers, cutting deep into my already wounded soul. And I wondered how someone in her position could treat a customer she barely knew in that manner.Despite the fact that the bank cashier had previously confirmed the validity of those checks and had given me a receipt, Anna couldn't have cared less. She yelled at me, belittling me with every word she uttered, and she refused to listen to my side of the story. I pleaded with her to stop hurting me, to let me speak, but my pleas were met with nothing but indifference. It was as though she took pleasure in my pain, reveling in her power to crush me with her heartless words. Her parting shot was especially cruel, vowing to personally ensure that I bear full responsibility for everything. It felt like she wanted to see me suffer, to be stripped of any hope, and to leave me broken and defeated. But Anna's cruelty didn't end there. Just a few days later, she mercilessly ordered the locking of all my bank accounts, including the much-needed relief funds and a college bursary. I was left in a state of desperation, unable to access even a small portion of my own hard-earned money. The hardships I endured because of the fraud were already overwhelming, and now, thanks to Anna and BMO Bank's heartless actions, I was pushed even further to the edge. The pain and suffering I experienced at the hands of Anna and BMO Bank were beyond measure. They showed a complete lack of empathy and professionalism, leaving me feeling utterly victimized and hopeless. How can an institution that claims to prioritize its customers' well-being be so heartless and cruel? This ordeal has left me emotionally scarred, and I now seek justice to hold them accountable for the immense pain they caused during one of the most traumatic times in my life.If you value your emotional well-being and financial security, I implore you to steer clear of BMO Bank at this branch. Their lack of compassion and their willingness to inflict pain on their customers is unforgivable. I just pray that may no one else suffer the way I did at the hands of Anna and BMO Bank.

We've lived in the area for 30 years and have seen many BMO staff over the years. Our experience has always been great. Recently, we've been dealing with Henry who has been very helpful. He is responsible for financial planning but many a time, we have taken the liberty of calling Henry to help us with other areas of banking (sometimes unknowingly and other times not) and he always helps us with a smile to the extent that he can and walks us to the correct staff. If you have trouble with your online banking for his products, he has the patience to take you through the steps at your pace. Henry is a professional in every sense of the word, he's courteous, knowledgeable and available to help.

I moved to this area recently and had a serious matter that I had to deal with. I booked a meeting online and was placed with Hadi who is quite new, but he was super kind and helpful nevertheless. Joe, the manager, also came in to assist with the biggest issue while also teaching Hadi, which I had no issues with. The manager was very knowledgeable and did his best to assist me, while also setting realistic expectations. I really appreciate their help with the manner and how considerate they were of my situation.I also met with Rosie regarding a withdrawal and she was super sweet and enthusiastic. She also informed me of other options and deals that may help my situation, things I haven't heard of before. The next day, she also made the effort to call me and inform me that she gave me the wrong date estimate since the transaction was done near the end of the day. She didn't have to call (and most people wouldn't), and I wasn't in a rush for the money, but I really appreciate the gesture and concern. All in all, one of the most pleasurable experiences I've had at a BMO branch. My appointment was on time. They didn't just do what I was inquiring about, but went above and beyond to suggest other better solutions for me. I read the other negative comments below but it sounds like they've had some changes in staff, so don't hesitate to come here!

Joe, the assistant manager, was an absolute pleasure to work with. I had a time sensitive situation on a weekend which Joe was able to find a quick solution for. Thank you Joe for your excellent assistance. This is the way customer service should be!
