As a regular shopper at the Costco on Billy Bishop in Toronto, I feel compelled to share my consistently positive experiences at this location. Despite the challenge of parking, which is a common theme across most Costco stores, especially during peak hours, I’ve found that with a little willingness to park near Home Depot, securing a spot is generally not a problem. A short walk is a small price to pay for the convenience that follows. The store itself is commendably well laid out and maintains a high standard of cleanliness, creating a welcoming shopping environment. It reliably stocks all the regular staples I look for, making each trip efficient and successful. Additionally, the staff here are approachable and friendly, contributing to the overall pleasant experience. The Costco on Billy Bishop in Toronto stands out for its cleanliness, layout, and helpful staff, making it my go-to location for regular shopping. It’s great to have such a reliable store within reach.

Love the store, the staff, the products, the value for money but it's crazy busy. Google asks if the store or shopping experience has changed since the previous review, and the answer is no. It's all the same. New products all the time. Only 1 or 2 top selling products from a brand. Rotating clothing and shoe styles. Many stock items. Bulk buying. Some seasonal specialty booths which come and go, e.g., jewellery, winter coats, steam irons etc. Paid membership, which is super ridiculous.Update: Bought an Atelier winter coat for the 2nd time in 4 years. It's a very warm coat; if you don't like the cold, get one quickly before they are gone.Update 2: we bought artifical grass, only considered buying an electric bike which is on sale for $400 off, sampled some cheese and a date, and bought 2 cart fulls of miscellaneous groceries, spending almost one grand! And that basically describes Costco for you.Update 3: Costco has Calvin Klien clothing for children. And adidas sets for kids. Gap sweaters for women. The lightest ever, pink, or black Sketchers walking shoes for women for under $30. Very little vegan or vegetarian (no eggs either) cooked foods.

I love Costco. Long after REI decided to stop standing behind their products, Costco still does. They're one of the few retailers that has lifetime returns for non-electronics. It's saved my bacon on a few things over the years that you expect to have a long life but sometimes don't. Example: I bought a e-mower and trimmer (~$750) in Spring of 2022. In Summer of 2023, the dual battery stopped auto-switching. Were it any other retailer, I'd have to deal with the inconvenience of swapping batteries manually, or the hassle of shipping it for repair (4 year warranty). Costco lets me return it. I may wait for summer, when they carry replacements.I also love how they stand behind certain principles (refusal to raise the price on rotisserie or hot dog and drink). I don't even buy these items, but for a profit-driven corporation, it's a rare breath of fresh air.I wish they had a better mobile/web experience, but that's part of their strategy to increase foot traffic. I disagree with it but not enough to stop going. After 12 years of membership, I still learn of new services they offer. For example, in the past month I've learned they have free self service automatic tire air (and it's Nitrogen!). The inflators aren't perfect, but the service people nearby will help if the machines fail. They also offer discounted travel insurance. Also, I love their pizza compared to any frozen or most delivery places. $10 lasts for 4-5 meals.

People are disrespectful to others and pick and choose best fruit for themselves and leave back the rest, Coscto in general doesn’t seem to care although they could have easily protect the fruit with a mesh or tape over boxes. Already told the management today!

Overall it's a great location right off the highway. Recently I was in and asked staff for help with a product in the cooler. I was disappointed that the staff could not take the time or have someone that could take a short amount of time to replace the product that was in view but not in reach.I understand that its a busy store and employees have a lot to do however when the employees response was i "should come back tomorrow" to get this product i was surprised. I respect staff and I know they work hard but isn't it their job to help customers if needed? Very disappointed in that situation but staff are typically great there and I've not had any other issue other than that time.

We are regular costco shoppers. We visit costco stores at least once a week but the staff's behaviour was unbelievable at the return counter. I asked Lezeth if she can price match an item for me, while she was laughing and talking with her friends there shouted no! You have to complete a return and then price match another item! This could be communicated in a much nicer way!

I was just out the door for a while and had to share with everyone my frustration. I went in to buy chicken. When I paid, the staff told me I needed a membership card to buy it. I went out and asked the staff at the door and they said I could buy it without a membership card. I went back in and bought it, spending nearly an hour buying meat. Then the cashier also said I couldn't pay without my membership card. Not coming back a second time. Unprofessional work

Requires annual membership. Love Costco. Super popular location. No gas station here. Best feature: they make returns super easy and over accommodate in the customer’s favour. Everything you need and more. Easy access from Wilson. Lots of parking but, can be challenging to find a spot up close usually. Super busy location. Found that the best time to shop is 10:00 am or 30 minutes before closing time for a more relaxed time with less shoppers. Good variety of popular items. Tire centre, Pharmacy, Hearing centre, Eye centre (also popular branded sunglasses). Electronics section ( includes printers and supplies) including Apple products, Mobility phone booth with Bell, Rogers and Telus competitive packages and latest variety of competitor phones. Large array of smart TV’s up to and including, LG, Sony, Samsung, Hisense and TLC. Security camera section, clothing for all family members, some shoes. So much more like Organic food options, popular hot deli at low prices and hot food like whole roasted chicken. Ample bread, fresh fruits and vegetables. Large cheese and meat section and household items including some home and office furniture plus automotive needs. Food sampling stands throughout warehouse for customers. It’s ALL here.

Cashiers are very quick and there are lots of them. Fast food staff sometimes come across as rude when they ask for order numbers.Might need more training. Pharmacists are very good and helpfully. Door staff are friendly and pleasant.

Purchased an Apple Watch Series 3 in this Costco store in December 2020.2.5 years later after purchase, the adhesive of the display unglued on its own due to a manufacturing defect. This Apple Watch has never been inside water/shower. It unglued while I was walking, in the middle of street. I approached the store manager of customer service and they have refused to replace this product or offer store credit.I’m very disappointed in the quality of this Apple product or how Costco handled this malfunction. This watch has functioned 5 years less than its expected lifetime.

What I encountered at the Costco Optical Centre tonight has left me deeply disappointed and upset. At approximately 6:30 pm, I visited the Costco Optical Centre to collect my prescribed glasses. Upon arriving at the counter, I politely greeted the only lady present and handed over my invoice. To my surprise, her response was quite unusual, as she seemed to struggle to understand my pronunciation when I said, "Good evening! I would like to take my glasses." Her immediate reaction was to correct my pronunciation, stating, " -lasses? you mean glasses?" I responded with, "No, I said 'glasses'." Despite my efforts to clarify, she continued to insist, " -lasses? glasses?" in a rather confrontational manner, eventually taking my glasses from me. This exchange left me feeling embarrassed and self-conscious.As an Asian individual, I am aware that I may have an accent when speaking, but I believe I pronounced "glasses" quite clearly. I became increasingly frustrated as she persisted in questioning my pronunciation, and I began to wonder if this was intended as an insult. The situation escalated further when she commented, "Your sunglasses are too big for you," and mentioned that the glasses I had chosen did not have nose pads, suggesting that my nose might not be able to support them. I found these remarks to be unwarranted and uncomfortable. I had already completed the payment for the glasses and simply wanted to collect them and return home. It was disheartening to be subjected to judgment and unsolicited comments about my choices. This incident has left me feeling both angry and upset. I have always enjoyed shopping at Costco and have never encountered such a situation before, especially in a diverse and inclusive country like Canada. I hope that this review brings attention to the need for better training and cultural sensitivity among staff members, ensuring that every customer is treated with respect and dignity.
