Oh wow — where do I begin? If you're looking for a gym experience where you're paying top dollar to watch other people work out (or just wait around for equipment that’s “reserved”), this is the place for you.
The staff? Absolute legends… at hanging out. They’ve truly mastered the art of leaning on machines, chatting with their buddies, and reserving equipment for clients who might show up sometime this century. Need help? Good luck catching their attention unless you bring snacks.
The space is cozy — and by cozy, I mean packed tighter than a sardine can during peak hours. But hey, who needs personal space when you're just trying to curl in the squat rack someone else “called dibs” on?
And let’s talk about value! For the low, low price of an overpriced membership, you too can enjoy the thrill of waiting in line for a bench while being serenaded by trainers gossiping about their weekend.
Truly a five-star experience… if the goal is to pay more and get less. Would give zero stars if I could.

Music is obnoxiously loud. Respectfully, nobody who comes with their own music wants to hear the playlists of the staff through their headphones. I pay $90 a month for a gym membership, not a Rebel nightclub membership. Solid gym otherwise.

Watch out before signing up with this gym. I’m writing this to warn others so they don’t get stuck the way I did. When I first walked in, the sales rep made it sound like it was just a simple monthly membership. No mention of a 12-month contract, no clear explanation, nothing. They made it seem like I could freeze or cancel anytime — total opposite of what actually happens once you sign.
They brush over all the fine print and don’t tell you the full story until you’re locked in. It feels like they just want to get your signature and deal with the rest later.
Even tho I’ve explained and proved to them that I was moving out of town, they still refuse to cancel my membership and still charge me for it.
They’ll also hype up all these “included” spin and boxing classes — but when you show up, the classes are dead, the energy is low, and some instructors act like they don’t even want to be there. And don’t count on the so-called “coaching support” they promise. Every time I tried to ask for help, no one was around.
And here’s the worst part: I was made to feel that if I posted a negative review, there could be legal consequences. I’m including this note clearly:

I’ve been coming to this gym for a couple of months now after ending my LA FITNESS membership and honestly it was the best decision I’ve made. I was introduced to Arabella who is a trainer at this gym and through her guidance and help I was able to identify the things I’ve been doing wrong in my workouts for years. She completely changed the way I approach fitness — not just physically, but mentally too. Arabella is incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely passionate about helping her clients succeed. Her personalized approach pushed me beyond what I thought I was capable of, and I’ve already noticed major improvements in my strength, energy, and overall confidence. If you’re looking for a gym that actually cares about your progress — and a trainer like Arabella who goes above and beyond , this is the place. No regrets, only gains! 💪🔥

I’ve been training here twice a week with Arabella for a little over two months now and I’m going to have a very hard time ever enjoying workouts without her!
I decided to join this gym after a really difficult year in my personal life and Arabella has helped me prioritize myself again. We’ve made significant progress towards my goals in a short time but we’ve also completely overhauled my lifestyle. This was no small feat considering I had almost no fitness/gym literacy coming in and some mental health hurdles to work with. She showed zero judgement for how I’d been living my life up until this point. Her support goes beyond our scheduled hours together and she provides ongoing programming/check-ins for the rest of my week.
About the facility itself - I was looking for something clean, bright and open which is exactly what I saw during my initial tour. There are a comfortable amount of people around during the times I tend to come in and I’ve never felt uneasy around the other gym goers. The staff are friendly and I see the change rooms being cleaned more often than not when I’m there. I’m very happy with my choice of gym over other crowded and poorly maintained chains! Lots of parking is a bonus.

Member of the club for more than 15 years. Like the cleanliness, space and atmosphere. They bring very knowledgeable and competent instructors. Quality is a top priority in this club. I wish there is a bigger selection of classes.

The people who run this gym are true scammers. My boyfriend signed up for a hear membership with Bethany (she is great), he told her that he would only be living in Toronto for 8 months but she told him it was fine and to just show proof that he was moving away at the end of the 8 months. They have been extremely picky with what constitutes as proof of moving a way (a lease ending and telling them at the beginning was not enough) and they have NOT replied to any emails WHILE STILL CHARGING HIM. He moved away 2 months ago. They are fully robbing us.
These people are disgustingly and should be ashamed of themselves. Cheap nasty people who just want free money.

I just cancelled my membership with Fitness Connection Don Mills due to infrequent use of the facility. From the beginning, the experience has been mishandled. The salesperson who signed me up named Bethany, placed me on the wrong membership plan. I had clearly stated that I was willing to pay the higher monthly rate in order to have the flexibility to cancel at any time without penalty, especially since I live over 20km away. Instead, I was enrolled in a plan that included a cancellation penalty, which led to unnecessary complications when I attempted to cancel on two separate occasions.
During my most recent attempt, the process was made deliberately difficult. I was informed by both Dave and Asala that only Bethany, the original staff member who signed me up could process my cancellation. When I spoke to Asala on April 30th, she assured me that Bethany would call me on May 1st at 4:00 PM. She never ended up calling me.
I followed up around 5:30 PM on May 1st and was unfortunately connected with an employee named Kash from the sales. His behavior was completely unacceptable. He was rude, dismissive, and unprofessional. He repeatedly told me that helping me was “outside of his job description” and that I should “just trust” my membership had been cancelled. When I requested written confirmation, he went on to say that I can wait till the next day for someone to send me the confirmation and that Fitness Connection has thousands of members and didn’t need me to keep my membership active…an inappropriate and frankly insulting remark.
If Kash truly couldn’t assist, he could have easily transferred me to reception, especially since he acknowledged they were sitting right beside him. Instead, he chose to be obstructive and condescending, making an already frustrating situation worse.
While Dave and Asala conducted themselves professionally despite the circumstances, Kash’s conduct was the complete opposite and unacceptable and unrepresentative of how any employee in sales or customer service should behave.
I called Fitness Connection Don Mills again on May 2nd at 9:35 AM and spoke with Asala, who provided written confirmation that my membership had been cancelled and that no further charges would be made to my account…something that could and should have been confirmed earlier in the week but they wanted to send me in circles for god knows what reasons.
This experience reflects a troubling level of disorganization and disregard for customer service. I strongly urge Fitness Connection Don Mills to refine their process and provide more clarity and address this issue with Kash and ensure he receives proper training on how to speak to paying customers—especially given that he works in “sales”.
