I am a regular customer at this Shell car wash near my neighborhood in Toronto and I have a monthly unlimited car wash subscription. I wash my car here every other day and have been loyal for over two years.
What is extremely frustrating is that every single time it snows, the car wash is suddenly “CLOSED”, with a sign posted. This makes absolutely no sense. Snow is exactly when cars get the dirtiest and when customers NEED the car wash the most.
On rainy days, the car wash stays open all day with no issues, but when it snows, it’s closed — even though the equipment is clearly capable of working. Meanwhile, almost everyone has a monthly subscription, meaning we keep paying but can’t use the service when it matters most.
This feels unfair and misleading. If you sell monthly subscriptions, you should be prepared to operate during winter conditions — or at least be honest about the limitations. Otherwise, customers are paying for a service they can’t rely on.
Very disappointed. I am seriously reconsidering my subscription unless this issue is addressed.

The Shell app showed the car wash as open, but it was closed when I arrived due to water issues. I drove 12 km based on the app information, so it was disappointing. Please keep the app status updated to avoid inconvenience for customers.

Car Wash process is just terrible. You have to pay in advance bur is written nowhere, so if you get in the line you cannot proceed and block everyone. On top you have a clear sign saying the car needs to be in neutral and the machine will carry it: incredible to understand you instead need to drive way ahead of the sign which is totally misleading. Who is the manager of such a thing?

I’m writing this to address a very upsetting incident that occurred on Friday, the 21st, involving a worker named Roya. During my visit, I experienced discrimination, harassment, and repeated misgendering while simply trying to purchase a Red Bull.
Roya accused me of being underage and forced me to provide ID for an energy drink, which was already unnecessary and humiliating. When I returned with my ID, she then accused me of having a fake ID and still refused to complete the sale. It wasn’t until another cashier stepped in that I was finally able to make my purchase.
This entire situation left me feeling disrespected, singled out, and extremely embarrassed in front of other customers. What made it even worse was the lack of accountability—management took no corrective action, offered no apology, and made no effort to address the discrimination and mistreatment I experienced.
No customer deserves to be treated this way. I hope this review brings attention to the unacceptable behavior I encountered and encourages the business to address these issues properly.

Love the convenience and renovations they did inside the gas station but unfortunately the night time worker Ramon decided the start berating me through the speaker at 2am with 0 other cars at the pumps while I was initiating the shell app (sometimes it has an error with location). I thought there was an emergency I went to the window to see the issue, told him I was having errors with the app, his volume and tone were so inappropriate I left. Avoid if you see a man working with the name tag Ramon.

Stay away from pumps 17 to 20. They are supposedly Full Serve. You will be charged for it despite no attendant at the kiosk and pumping the gas yourself.

Great location and fantastic staff. Loses points for the horrible TVs on the pumps that scream advertising at you while you fill up. Loud annoying noises are not how I want to start my day. Turn off the noise Shell.

Car wash is unreliable.
Works often. But not always.
Enter code. Nothing happens.
Staff arrives and says drive through.
Then go to cashier.
Get new code. Old code no longer good.
Wait for “car wash reset.
Try again.
Yippee. This time success.
But why now? What’s wrong here?
EVERY OTHER car wash works better.
Caveat emptor! 🙁😣😰
