For the second time in a row, weeks in between, I ask for a cappuccino and they hand me a latte. I specifically asked for less milk this time (because of my previous experience here) because I'm lactose intolerant. Then the "barista" has the gall to tell me that the reason there is so much milk in there is that "this is physics you see". She also claimed that it's the machine that pours the milk which is clearly not the case. I asked me for my money back and she said I have to go to customer service which, as usual, was deserted. It's a good place to sit and hang out if you can tolerate the stale croissants and terrible service. The "barista" also claimed that the person actually making the coffee "was new" ...Dietary restrictions: They claimed they had "lactose free milk" but are putting almond milk in there. Because you see, almond milk is "lactose free" . (So is pea soup btw.)

Everytime I visit (leaside) I felt the greyhair lady looked not in the good mood and rude. And lately I ordered latte and sitting beside the pick up counter waiting for my latte. I thought it took so longer than usual and I found out the latte was been for long time at the counter. She just put the latte at the counter. I wasn’t feel that pleasant and had terrible latte that she served. I checked the beverage because of the weird taste and I found out the milk was lumpy and sour. I’ll never return.

I was given caffeinated when I ordered decaf but the staff working there was very hardworking and polite. I think she was overworked and could have used a second set of hands.

Overpriced and not very appetizing hot food bar with very few plant based selections. Their "meat" counter had a terrible dead flesh smell that I couldn't cover while I was wearing my KN5 mask

Stopped in to pick up dessert. This is a large Whole Foods with plenty of options. They even sell clothes! I got a vegan chocolate chip cookie and also picked up some candy and snacks for the next day.

If you have a physical disability, DO NOT SHOP AT THIS STORE! I have a visible disability, and I was unable to lift 3 heavy items out of my cart to be scanned by the cashier. When I informed her of my disability, she told me that she did not have to come around to scan my items. Once she did come around to scan them, she began to chastise me as if I were a child! I left my entire shopping cart there after this traumatic experience. I went to Walmart and made my purchase. WALMART...OF ALL PLACES TREATED ME WITH MUCH BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE! PLEASE BE ADVISED!

This place used to be good but since the new manager gutted the staff and got rid of every single good barista and their supervisor this place cant be relied upon to make a cup of coffee and most times youll be lucky to get a cup of dirty water. #amazonfail #amazonsucks #badmanager

Pizza review: Very good pies, for a good everyday price (two ~18" pies, 3 toppings each, $26. One plain pie is $15). They recently (near beginning of 2021) changed the dough they use (and sell separately) for their pies, and its noticeably better. Dough seems to be more malleable for pizza making compared to previous years. They label the pizza box with the ingredients for their dough and cheese, which is admirable, although maybe not necessarily 100% accurate. A downside is that the ingredients do not seem to be certified-organic, but the plus-side is that apparently their is no artificial flavours, colours, or preservatives in their ingredients. Note the Yonge & Sheppard location offers a wider variety of toppings than the Yorkville location (sausage available at Y & S, but not Yorkville, for one), oddly. Also, recently was told the Yorkville location offers 2 toppings instead of 3 for their 2-pie special. So Y & S location is clearly the better option for now.

I still find Whole Foods kinda pricey. But despite that, there are things I can find here that I can't elsewhere. The quality of the food here is good, and the accessibility of it trumps all. I can get some stuff cheaper at another natural food store elsewhere but it's not off the subway station. So convenience is a big part of why I like this location. Plus when it's winter time & cold outside there's an underground entrance you can take from the subway. Besides all that, the store is organized & space is optimized. It's kept neat & clean. Before covid you could order their cooked food made to order & it was a good price for a good meal. Hopefully the lockdown will end so people can eat out again.
