February 24th 2024 around 12 o'clock went to buy my son some hockey skates 4 employees seen us standing there waiting for help for 15min and they know you need them to walk in the back get you skates cause there's nothing there for you to try on, so no help so we walked out and went to canadain tire next door and bought skates employees at canadain tire were great at helping out and you get a free skate sharpening so bonus.

I came into the store yesterday to get basketball shoes for my son and the customer service was amazing. Ethan helped my son out with everything he needed and my son was very happy with the experience. Will definitely be back again!

Worst service ever.The KID that so called helped me basically dropped the box and walked away .Worst service No help ,no other options nothing from this kid .WORST RETAL SERVICE EVER.Its no wonder everyone shops online.Kid should consider another job or help people out by staying home .

Customer Service was absolutely terrible in fact there was no cs. I walked in wearing a nice vest of theirs that was over$100 and not one but two customer service clerks didn't even acknowledge my presence. After looking around and not finding (on my own) what I was looking for and wanting to purchase, I left NEVER to go back again!!

Sarah and the staff working Saturday afternoon were great. Both ladies that helped us were knowledgeable and dedicated to help us. ( my daughter has "hard to fit feet and sensory issues) They listened to what we said and offered suggestions of different types of shoes to try on.My daughter left smiling and happy to find nice looking shoes that suit hers style and mobility needs.

The cashier working on Sunday September 17th 2023 needs to focus more on customer service than her fake eyelashes and nails. We were doing a straight exchange with a different employee on a pair of shoes...we stood in line while she took her time with each customer, she greeted us and started scanning our purchase when we hadn't even been given the chance to explain to that the one pair of shoes was an exchange. She didn't understand the statement, "we are exchanging this pair of shoes for this pair of shoes". Then she asked for the receipt which we told her we didn't have because the other employee took it. Then she did a refund for a straight exchange, she asked us to put our card in the machine, we told her we paid cash and she said "it doesn't matter, it's the same thing"...then she grabbed the money from the register, handed it to us, then proceeded to do the transaction. She told us the total and we gave her the cash. She did this whole transaction with an attitude and a depressing look on her face. She really just needs to learn how to do her job better and to have a better attitude.

No pickleball equipment. On a positive side, management told me that they are ramping up to become a leader eventually in pickleball equipment. I'm looking forward to seeing this soon. Mens wide outdoor pickleball shoes also need to be on their radar.

Just went to the store to try and buy some sunglasses that were locked up. Was there for 20 minutes and not one person came over and asked if they could help us. There was many staff around not doing anything. They were busy talking to each other or texting on their phones. There was one lady that was working that made eye contact with us but never came to help us. Was annoyed that they didn’t want our business so we left.

Been in 3 times since they have moved location and have been disappointed every time. I've learned to not expect much for customer service, but this new location never seems to have anything in stock. I do not think I will be back.

HORRIBLE experience with Sport Chek today. Not even sure where to start.Every single item that I was interested in purchasing was out of stock in the size I was shopping for. While I understand size L is a common size, perhaps adjust your inventory accordingly if more larges are being purchased than any other size.I continued to walk around the men’s department to try to find something… anything… that I could buy for my spouse for his birthday. Not a single one of the FOUR employees chatting behind the counter checked to see if I needed help, and they continued to have conversation amongst themselves.When I walked up to the counter to ask about a specific item being available in a size large, and was told no, i mentioned my struggle to find anything in a size large. The response was that “they don’t pick the inventory that comes in” and “larges are a common size” — the condescending tone was absolutely unnecessary. Lastly, they mentioned I could have submitted a comment through their feedback page on their website, “but it was overloaded with comments so they took it away”This is the third separate occasion I’ve gone to the store and left without what I went in for due to lack of inventory.Not at all impressed with the customer service that was provided or lack of assistance offered to try and help me find an alternative item or anything.Will not be shopping at a store that allows their staff to stand around and make their customers feel as if they are unapproachable, and based on reading other user’s reviews, it appears that Sport Chek isn’t going to do anything to address the situation — my recommendation: don’t waste your time… find literally anywhere else to shop.

Went in to look for a bike and had a great experience with Aiden (I think!) and Zack. Very knowledgeable and helpful! Buying a bike or needing repairs - all very reasonable!

Poor customer service. Just came in with my mother to help her find a sweater for her disabled husband. She found one that was on sale ($29.99), the cashier (as usual in your store) wasn’t polite or helpful. When they cashed out my mother they charged her the full price. My mother didn’t realize until she was walking out and checking the receipt. When she walked back in, the girl that cashed her out was passively rude. Didn’t talk to her to try and explain, just walked away to check the pricing as if my mother was lying. Then said that it’s only the sweaters labeled with the discount price that are on sale. They’re all on the same rack mixed in with each other and no signage saying as such. The other cashier realized and said she’d honour the price “this time”. Great, but what was unnecessary was the passive attitude. This store isn’t that old, your prices are pretty ridiculous, having staff that shows nothing but passive aggressive behaviour as if they’re too good to help ppl or fix their mistakes, doesn’t help for business. I remember starting out in customer service and this wouldn’t be acceptable when I was a teen, so I’m dumbfounded as to why young staff get away with such poor behaviour, today. I get it, it’s boring in a store that isn’t full or bustling with patrons, but a smile and proper communication isn’t hard. They seemed to be bothered that their they were being interrupted from their constant chatting. Honestly the explanation and the attitude afterwards felt as if they knew they charged the regular price and just hoped my elderly mother wouldn’t notice…. Makes me very concerned about how the elderly are treated in your store.
