Great experience. We changed our online reservation in person. Only needed the truck for 1 day vs 2. The gentleman there helped us save about $600 in fees and was happy to help.Great courteous service with a smile.

Code the online reservation to reject Virtual Visa accounts. I arrived expecting to use it, but was forced to find a willing friend to use their credit card. Stressful, and avoidable! Otherwise the rep was courteous and respectful of my situation.

Worst u haul rental ever do not go so got charged over 2000 on my credit card because they told me I didn't have to return to barrie but once I checked my statement I was charged for not returning it to barrie and the kid behind.d the counter was so rude i would never use uhaul again

Convenient after hours pic up and return system using a smart phone.Vehicle was very clean which was important since my wife was my passenger.Unique driving experience since the vehicle came from the United States so everything was non metric.Location of pick up and return was clearly visible from a main street and video cameras so we both felt secure and safe. Import for two seniors like ourselves.Lastly location is within 5 min to and from Hwy 11. Very convenient.

Sadly there isn't anyone there during their posted hours of operation. Booked the Uhaul online. The truck we booked wasn't available unless we travelled to get it. We got a smaller one and it worked out okay. A day later we were charged for a moving box kit. When reaching out to indicate we did not purchase that. They told us to return it to a depot as it had already been shipped. We are now on route to Barrie cause all three locations in Orillia don't actually have anyone there.

So most of the reviews made me nervous about things going smoothly, but I was delighted when everything did, and on top of that the gentleman who helped me was very nice and went out of his way to be extra helpful.

We reserved a trailer for our move a week in advance. Upon arrival the reserved trailer was not available and were told that trailer hadn’t been at that location in weeks. Why were not called to let us know our trailer wouldn’t be available?Staff at the location simply told us to call uHaul and see if they could find us a new rental. This all caused over a two hour delay.When I spoke with customer service - this clearly isn’t a rare occurrence - $50 discount offered right away. No apology.

If you have an after hours pick up you must download the uhaul app. The app gives you a code and instructions of how to receive your keys from a lock box. However, the app would NOT load. We were almost out of luck. Thankfully, the owner of the convenience store that manages uhaul during staffed hours happened to still be there after hours. They were extremely helpful with staying and getting the keys for is since the app we were supposed to use would not work and we were on hold with uhaul for a ridiculous amount of time. If the owner of 5 Rivers Convenience was not there to help us, we would not of been able to get our keys at all. Thank you to him for that. Do NOT use this service unless it is during staffed hours.

I have never ever ever had any issues with this location. Literally the best customer service, and I look forward to going there for our truck pick ups! The western location on the other hand.....

First of all let me just say that my complaints about this company aren't directly related to this location. Unfortunately, there is no other way to leave a negative review other than associating it with a specific branch. I tried to do this through the U-haul website but of course they don't make it easy.I booked a 15 foot truck to pick up from this location for February 1st weeks ago. I got a call yesterday from a woman saying the truck was no longer available and I would need to drive 40 minutes away (each way) to get one. This was less than 3 days before I move, leaving me to scramble. She was also rude and unhelpful. So I called the 5 Rivers branch myself and the gentleman was very helpful. He said he had a 10 foot truck available instead, which was fine for me. That's something the woman should have thought to at least look into. As it stands - the 10 foot truck is booked and ready to go for Feb 1st. Assuming nothing goes wrong with that, I have to say I really appreciate that guy helping me out. He might have saved the day for me. I also must say, I'm riddled with anxiety that they will once again, at the last minute, screw me over. Not a fun time.I tried to leave a negative review through the U-haul website but they make you search for your contract number before you can do anything. Once your contract has been cancelled like mine was, you cannot leave a review. So I used my most recent contract number for the 10 foot truck instead. That then sends me an email where I can leave a review. Except "that page cannot be found". Okay. So I try to start a live chat instead and file my complaint there. Nope, the "chat now" link isn't even a real link. So now I'm here on Google, the only place I can possibly let people know how horrendous this company is.Last time I moved, in 2018, they charged us all kinds of crazy extra stuff and it was a nightmare getting our money back. Many of my friends have been through similar scenarios. Ask your friends and family about U-haul - these stories are not unique, they're quite common. I hope I never, ever, ever have to deal with this horrendous company again. I have absolutely nothing good to say about U-haul and I'm sorry to the guys at 5 Rivers because this post does not reflect your services at all. I try really hard to keep my reviews positive and boost up local business but I just can't this time.Note to 5 Rivers Staff: If you would like to help me find a way to file this complaint elsewhere so that it doesn't bring your store's rating down, feel free to send me a link or instructions and I will remove the post. Until then, it's important people know what they're getting themselves into.

Very bad service I hope anyone go there poor customer service I live in Orillia that was my only option they don't tell the true that's my only complaint they charge per mills but before you rent they said we gonna charge per km is 0.89 per km but they charge $ 1.43 per mills
