They've always given us a call when they discover that an issue might be expensive, and they work with you to find the right solution. Always receive efficient, quality care for my car! Reasonable prices and top service. Honest family run company that doesn’t try to upsell and get customers to do unnecessary work on their vehicle. They were able to get my car in earlier than expected, fix the entire exhaust and muffler system that was completely rusted and falling apart, and I was able to pick up next day. I’ve also brought them in for my brakes. Always superb service! I recommend them to all my friends and family. Thanks Can-Saf for your continued help with my car!

Another business who doesn’t even deserve the one star. This is a family business, so should you have an issue with anyone that works here, good luck!
I had the misfortune of using this business because they were an authorized repair shop through a warranty I had. Ivan and his family are lazy and all they care about is taking their cars racing. They do not care about your car or fixing it. I came back SEVERAL times for the same issue to which they never had a solution or they were indifferent about what they were saying and could never give me a concrete answer as to what was going on with the vehicle. EACH AND EVERY TIME I brought MY car here, I had to make SUGGESTIONS of what I thought could be wrong as he is so lazy he won’t even diagnose the car.
My final visit to this “business” was yet again for the same issue. They will do WHATEVER they can to get out of their wrong doing, including making false stories and accusations against a customer because they finally got caught.
This mechanic only contributed to the issues my car had, never had a resolution, seemed incapable. Cansaf & family, you do not deserve a single cent for what you do to your hard working customers.

Will never reccomend. Was advised to contact through warranty company. Took my truck in. They swore up and down figurativly speeking its plugs, coils and wires. Not covered. Took the truck home. Did that. Still running the same. Now the truck sits because no real diagnosis was done. Common issues with gm is lifters but they wouldnt look. Why because they dont want to change an engine. Theyre words!

I brought my car here because I have a warranty on my car and this was the closest authorized shop to me, they were supposed to diagnose the car and they did… it was an inner cooler issue but it wasn’t covered so I picked up my car, when I picked up my car my wipers were not working! And when I was leaving I asked if I owe anything they said “not right now I know you’ll be back” when I realized my wipers were not working I called immediately and told them and they said they weren’t working when I brought it in witch is not true! If it were true I’d be blaming them about my headlights too that actually weren’t working when I brought it in!

I have been going to Can-Saf Auto Repair for two years now, and the service and quality of work is second to none. They are family run, by Ivan, Glenda and their two sons, Kurt and Marlin. Customer satisfaction is key with these folks and you will be treated like family. They have also been building and raving cars for more than 25 years, with a ton of success and have helped me get to the podium a number of times. Ivan at Can-Saf is absolutely amazing!!! Had some issue with my car that no body could solve. Ivan took a look at the car and combined with the years of engineering and experience he was able to trace the issue, diagnose the fault and create a solution that was perfect. I needed to get my van safetied and was told I could come in no appointment, once I got there, the mechanic told me it could be done same day or tomorrow. Was told I needed my ownership so I ubered home and back to obtain and handover the document only to be called back again and told the job could not be done because the van wouldn’t fit. It CLEARLY could fit through the doorway but the mechanic did not acknowledge it, nor did he acknowledge my urgency with a shrug of his uneven shoulders. Clear waste of time, with unprofessional people who do not care to waste other people’s time. What a joke lol

We live in North York and drive to Oshawa for service we can trust. This is an honest family and even when the wife goes by herself they don't up-sell and do "repairs" that are not needed. She was loyal to the dealer where she bought the car (new) and did regular oil changes and annually spent a min of $800 for "brake services, etc.) This happened even in the first year. Not any more!! We should have ignored the "warranty" and gone to Can-Saf from day one.
