I recently visited this comic store to sell some comics. My initial interaction with the owner was positive—he seemed knowledgeable and gave me a fair offer. However, the experience took a turn for the worse when an employee (tall guy with glasses) stepped in. He lowballed the owner's offer by 70% and started explaining logistics in a way that felt more like an attempt to undermine the deal than a helpful explanation.
Because of this, I had to cancel most of the transaction. The store itself is nice, with a good selection of books at reasonable prices, but the way the conversation unfolded between the owner and the employee was far from ideal.
If I were to suggest anything, it would be to provide more relevant training in customer service or in how to present opinions to customers in a respectful and constructive manner. Will I be returning? Probably not. But if you're looking for used books, the store might still be worth a visit.

Thank you for your message and for recommending other platforms like eBay or Kijiji. However, I feel it's important to clarify a few points.
The owner did make an offer on my books, which were sealed and brand new. Misrepresenting the situation doesn’t benefit anyone. Additionally, the interaction with your employee—the tall gentleman who intervened—was particularly concerning. His approach came off as dismissive and felt more like an attempt to undermine the original offer than to provide a genuine explanation. This type of customer service leaves much to be desired.
It’s also worth noting that after I posted my review, I noticed another review was quickly added to push mine down the list. This kind of response feels disingenuous and doesn’t address the actual concerns. All I ask is for you to strive to be better, both in your customer interactions and in how you handle feedback.
While I may not return to sell comics, I do recognize that your store has a lot to offer in terms of selection and pricing. I sincerely hope that my feedback helps improve future customer experiences, as I believe in the potential of your business.

Along with World's Collide, GNU serves an important role in catering to the Pop culture enthusiasts. A good collection of second hand books makes the major portion of the shop. They carry all the major comics released for the week.

Being an avid reader, I love this store. There's a good variety of my favourite authors and I love getting the credit for when I bring in books. I read a lot and having the extra savings is a bonus. And the owner really knows his stuff.
