We usually shop at the King St location. We attended a funeral in Toronto and were on our way home to Napanee. Since it was a Monday our usual location was closed. We went to the Nelson St location as it was the only location open. We wanted to pick up Kolbassa and buggy whips for family in Montreal. There was no one there that could provide vacuum sealing in order to keep it fresh until our travel. They had no hot buggy whips so I got a couple of full regular and a piece of dill pickle that was very small. It must have been on the hook for awhile. The whips are usually soft and bendable. This piece was so hard it snapped when trying to bend it. I wish the staff had informed me it was not a good piece. I will make sure we continue to use our usual location in the future.

great food, good prices and for the most part, a fruendly and helpful staff or mybe it was just a bad day or two for them. definitely on my list of go to places for shopping.

I'm so angry that I can't get 20 bucks worth of pork chops separated after freezing, you would think 'the meat people' would know to use better packaging, I have to microwave them to get them separated, they were in the freezer wrapped up the same way the store did it, I had not opened them.... unbelievable!! Why can't they use the same wrap that the raw dog food companies use..... I'm about to lose it and throw them in the garbage....what a waste of 20 bucks!!!!!!!!!

I've shopped at various Halenda's Meats locations for decades and they've never disappointed me. The staff are very well-trained and helpful. Parking is easy, the store cleanliness and food selection are excellent also. This is a great place with reasonable prices to get a prepared meal, groceries or even to order fresh turkey for the holidays.

Good food at slightly inflated prices. Used to have health concerns, such as reusing spices that had touched raw meat. With he excuse its OK if just used on the dame raw meat next. Anyone with food handling knows this is insane. I confirmed it with health and safety. They gave a recovering alcoholic and a Muslim wine carriers as a Xmas bonus. This being said that was when I worked there, it's new management. And I know Chris personally. I'm sure he cleaned up ship. But just in case not and because the price. 3 stars.
