Nice and clean venue with decent food and drink options at affordable price! Our waiter was working very hard on a very busy comedy night.

The comedians were excellent and overall I really enjoyed the show and the service by the staff.Dropping a star though as I felt the venue was a bit cramped as they tried to get as many people into the room as possible. There was absolutely no way for me to move from where I was seated. Servers had to pass me my drink over the heads of the folks next to me which didn't feel very comfortable.I also wondered about safety with such a tightly packed room.Minor issue and I'm sure they need to keep the room packed to continue to bring such great comedians. Highly recommend this venue for a good laugh, just be prepared to be cozy with others attending the event.

Absolute comedy is always a great time! We have been over 5 times, and it is consistently an amazing way to spend a night. Friendly staff, reasonable drink prices, and always funny! Special shout-out to tonight’s host, Tim Gray - absolutely hilarious. The best host we’ve had the pleasure of listening to! Will definitely be back!

Great show but absolutely terrible servers. If you expect to come here for drinks then find another club. Took 40 mins to get service

Simply put, they don’t care about you once they have your cash.—Went there for the first time for a friend’s birthday a few months ago with a group of about 7-8 people. Booked tickets and requested a booth. They said they’d hold one, but advised we get there early. We got there quite early, but there were already a few groups in front of us. By the time we reached the front and paid, the booths were gone. We mentioned our request and they basically shrugged. In fact, despite many open tables, they sat us on the most uncomfortable stools by the kitchen with an awful view of the stage. A wonderful birthday gift! Our complaints fell on deaf ears, but we tried to make it work. Sat and ordered drinks, asked for a round of waters to start, as well as a few other drinks. Of course, we came up against their famous “policy” of no free waters, noting the actual sign informing us that “yes, in fact, it is legal”.Our birthday girl was very disappointed with the entire experience because she thought she had organized a special event for everyone else. We decided to leave, still about 10-15 mins before the show started. Asked for a refund, but discovered additional “policy” of no refunds. They take your money and then reveal what your money gets you, take it or leave it. We fought for the refund, but were met with nothing but contempt. On top of all that, I noticed a hand-written sign through the kitchen door, advising workers not to sell a particular batch of food/drinks. I can only imagine what happened there and what might happen if someone missed the sign.It was a very pricy lesson to learn. None of us will be back, but I know that won’t stop others. All I can say is go for the comics, not the venue. Absolute Comedy Ottawa is a complete disaster from top to bottom, and proud of it.
