Great product, but a really disappointing experience. After browsing their website and seeing the selection, we visited in person to make a purchase. However, the in-store prices were significantly higher than those listed online. When I brought this up, the staff simply said the price of beef had gone up and there was nothing they could do. Given that they offer online ordering for in-store pickup, this makes no sense. I could have saved $7/kg just by walking out to my car, placing the order online, and walking back in to pick it up.

Not my first time buying my meat here, I started to come here a few months ago.
The meat is top notch, what I am about to say - has nothing to do with the meat.
I ordered 3 lbs of ground beef ( 1 lb each pkg ) none in the freezer, which I like. Service was great, but what I noticed, was the woman who took my order did put a glove on. Put the meat on the butcher paper, weight the meat, punch in ( with the glove she had on ) the button on the scale - put that sticky paper on her shoulder, to be put on the package meat, this happened 3 times. Not very sanitary.
I also bought 3 sausage rolls ( second time ) as I bought 2 the previous visit. It seemed the person who put the roll together, put in a sausage wrapped in phyllo dough forgot to put a bit more spices in the mix, and maybe cooked it longer, first rolls I had middle was cooked but pink. Edges of the dough was were kind of hard, not as DELICIOUS as the first ones I previously had. Unless there are different flavors / rolls on display - that is not advised.
Hence, the 3 stars.
I'll give it another go, if same thing happens again, I'll go elsewhere.

I’m giving a 2 star. Not because of the quality of their meat.
It was recommended to me by a friend.
The older lady helping me was nice enough but she was all over the place. She came out from the back holding steaks in her bare hands for a shopper. Then she went right over to the baked goods section to serve me without washing her hands. Then again over to the cash without washing her hands.
When I mentioned it she said “well I wasn’t touching the croissants” 😒
Not to mention when I get home, she got my order wrong. 😕
Correct me if my wrong but aren’t there best practice standards that need to be adhered to when handling food? Especially raw meat? 🤷🏻♀️

This is a new higher end butcher shop. A very nice addition to the 117 centrepointe strip mall. Staffs are friendly, store is clean and spacious. Definitely will shop again.

Happened upon this location when we were looking for the Bubble Tea place that used to be here. This is much better. There are plenty of bubble tea options around now, but how many butchers are there?Premium meat with good service and lots of interesting accouterments on offer.

I just had the deli trio - and it was delicious! I actually had a hard time finishing but was not going to waste a single bite. I’ll be back for sure!

So glad that Around the Block is at Centrepointe. Have been there three times since its soft opening and have never been disappointed. Bought a rib steak today: wow, it was delicious: tender, juicy and flavourful. Thanks David and Chantal.

Went twice in the last little while.Saw them post pictures of very good sandwiches and got there on a Saturday. Sadly learned they only make them on weekdays. Guy offered to make me one. And it was honestly outstanding. Roast beef sandwiches aren't really my thing but those were so delicious.Had a steak again today and the service was outstanding. The steak ended up being so good - I was the one to cook it and I cook a mean steak but the base was so very perfect that it ended up being an outstanding st Pat's evening meal!So glad to see them in the new location! Best of luck there!

Terrific place! We popped in just for sour pickles, but ended up with the makings of charcuterie and fantastic soup. The staff were charming and helpful; would definitely recommend visiting.
