Purchased a new phone almost 2 years ago and they refused to sell me the apple care warranty (which all apple products come with as a buyable option by default) on an iPhone 23 Pro Max. I ended up getting their geek squad warranty that was supposed to "be better" for double the monthly price compared to Apple. Now I need to warranty my phone and ive been getting the run around and blame game between BestBuy and GeekSquad and want me without a phone for a little over a week to send away which is extremely inconvenient.Would NOT recommend buying any iPhone warrantys at Bestbuy.With my previous phones with apple care, Apple had me in and out in 20 minutes with my problems revolved without issue while this has been on going for weeks.

All regular checkouts were closed, while the returns desk was dealing with some problem that was taking a while.Despite that, management didn't care enough to open another checkout, leaving me and another customer standing there being completely ignored. Tired of being ignored, I went home and ordered what I wanted on Amazon.No one cares, either at the store or corporate, and customer service will never improve. Avoid this place unless you want to waste your time and be ignored.

Fitbit Charge 6 stopped working after 6 weeks. Best Buys return policy apparently doesn't cover 6 weeks after purchase. I spent over $200 on this item. Ridiculous!

I recently had an unfortunate experience at one of the Best Buy stores, where I felt ignored and neglected by one of the representatives. It was disappointing to see that my request for assistance went unnoticed, and that the representative prioritized helping someone else without acknowledging my presence or providing an estimated waiting time. I believe that such behavior is not only rude but also unprofessional. I hope that Best Buy takes customer feedback seriously and works towards improving their service standards, ensuring that every customer feels valued and respected. Thank you .

Possibly the worst Best Buy in the city. I went there looking for a decent mic and kept getting redirected to different sections by different staff. I go there quite often and what I realized was that they only help a customer when there’s a commission on the line. If you’re looking to spend below $150 on something but don’t know where it is, forget about staff, you’re on your own.

I recently came in here looking for a new laptop and I was a little underwhelmed by the service. I was looking for a cheap laptop simply for surfing the web and minimal work. An associate showed me the cheaper options, but when I asked about the different features of the laptops and the additional benefits of buying a more expensive laptop he didn't have much to say. I ended up buying one of the cheapest options since I was still unaware of the benefits of the more expensive options. Anyway the service was friendly, but did not match the service I have gotten at other best buy locations. Still all around the store is well kept and the few associates I spoke with were quite nice.

Wanted to call and speak with someone in store to confirm the laptop I wanted was in store. The person at the call center told me there was one in the store I drove 30 min to find out that the online systems was wrong. Would recommend supporting local family owned computer store that still picks up the phone and you can speak with a human to let best buy know you can't keep cutting corners.

I went to look at TVs and a wall mount. The staff that served me weren't knowledgeable and ended up selling me a wall mount I couldn't use in my apartment. The manager made a show of offering discounts/deals but I later found out that these were automatic with purchases of a certain size. I dont recommend going here unless you already know what you want.

I went there to get a portable wifi router to use with the square terminal I got in a Gatineau store this morning. I Needed help since I don’t know much about it.When I got in the store, it was pretty difficult to get someone fo help(not enough employees).When I finally got someone to talk to, I asked and he sent me to the geek squad area at the back of the store and assured me that I was going to get what I needed there.When I arrived there, there was a lineup which I followed. when my turn arrived, the guy sent me to the computing section saying that he’s busy and it’s not his field.Only for me to get there and they’ll send me back to another area close to the geek squad again! I asked the guy for help and he decided to take care of another customer who arrived after me and wanted to buy a computer ( I guess more commission on that). He then told me he’ll send the next person available to me.I felt insulted!So basically they kept sending me from one section to another like a bouncing ball.After 45 wasted mins, I left the store frustrated without what I need. This will be my second and probably last time there.This store should give a better training to employees.

Honestly, I don’t write these things a lot but something has to be said about the customer service at this location.We waited over 30 minutes last week to place an order for a refrigerator as the one worker in that department was busy chatting with another couple. After they were finished, there was another person behind me who asked the worker if there was anybody available to help out as there were a few people now waiting for help. He said “yeah let me go grab someone”. We stood around for over ten minutes for him to come back, only to see him LITERALLY walk out the door and never return.After waiting some more in hopes he maybe had a replacement lined up, we were sadly disappointed and kindly had to find someone from another department for help. We were completely understanding that they were busy and nothing but kind, but the person that we found seemed incredibly annoyed, unapologetic, and rushed through our transaction. It felt like we were a burden.They didn’t tell us what to expect for our appliance delivery, so when the delivery team showed up, they were annoyed that we hadn’t disconnected the old fridge (we had no idea sadly - not experienced with this sort of thing ) and told us that the person who we placed the order through should have told us. We were rushed trying to figure out how to disconnect it while they were here. After failing, they told us to call a plumber and they would return on the following business day to collect the old appliance and to call best buy to set that up.So, we did that (after calling 13 plumbers to find one that would be available asap). The lady on the phone from best buy told us that the pick up was all set up and they would be there on the day they had promised. I even confirmed with her verbally while on the phone. After waiting around for them to come that day, they didn’t. I called customer service again, and the lady was frustrated and said that they shouldn’t have promised us that day, and said they could come a few days later.I understand that the mistake of not knowing the fridge needed to be disconnected was on us, but the entire experience has been a nightmare from start until finish (or even yet to be finish). I’d probably avoid purchasing appliances for delivery at this location again and avoid going to there with questions for the staff.

Overall ok. The stores were all renovated a few years ago to a new look that makes moving around and finding what you want very difficult. It's cluttered and you have to zigzag around people and random displays. I miss when there was simply a wide aisle that looped the store. I'm sure this design is very intentional but is off putting for me. Staff generally are friendly and easy to find and can point you where you need to go.

I'm going to give a ton of love to this Best Buy. I don't get the low ratings. I stayed at the Courtyard Ottawa East during my entire visit. My view consisted of seeing the Starbucks cafe that I visited every day. I could also see this Best Buy across from the cafe.After picking up a grande chocolate cream cold brew as my birthday perk, I parked in the Best Buy lot and consumed it immediately. It was so good. I then got out of the car and headed inside this store.When you look at this store's exterior, it has that typical pointy blue box look. This store has probably been around for at least ten years. However, when you walk into this store, it's stunningly beautiful.I loved looking at the Marshall speakers and headsets. The display was appealing and you could press buttons to check out the sound coming out of these devices.I saw weird items, such as self-cleaning water bottles that were on sale. There were two models and the cheaper one was going for $89 after a $10 price reduction. Yikes! I hope that they self-clean well for that price.I found a Casemate chain phone wristlet. It looked cool classing up your phone. I kind of like the extra security of having the chain around your wrist. Although my phone case does have a PopSocket, I have dropped my phone a bunch of times because I can be a klutz. This wristlet was my present to me.I browsed some more. I like that associates here don't approach you to ask if you need any help. Leave me be to explore. If I have questions, I will hunt you down.My usual routine is to check out the Google Pixel section. I am happy with my 6a phone, but like looking at the newer 7a and 7 Pro models. The Google Pixel Watch is also nice to look at.I went to pay for my item. I had a nice man helping me with my transaction. I learned that my wristlet was on sale and that $14 was knocked off the regular price. Yay!I paid with a credit card. The transaction was successful. I thanked the man, grabbed my item, and headed to my car.It was straightforward adding this accessory to my phone case. It's stylish and functional. It's awesome!I enjoyed shopping here. I'd return when I'm in the area again.(276)

My laptop sustained water damage after I accidentally spilled hot water on it, and failed to reboot despite my efforts. I brought it to the nearest Best Buy, where Saeed Ghoddou was the specialist at hand who took a look and advised me that the damage was too great and likely irreparable. He suggested I start looking for a new one and helped me figure out the specs that would suit my needs best while remaining in my budget. My old laptop was repaired in 2 days, as was scheduled, and worked for only 2 days, long enough to save the files I needed.Excellent work Saeed! Thank you!

Incorrect prices displayed. Wouldn't honour the mess up. Was there half hour or more and not a single associate asked if I needed help. Was looking for a phone case, iPad keyboard and a new camera and lingered for multiple minutes in each department needing assistance. Employees just stand around and stare at you instead, in groups. Apparently hanging out with each other is what they're being paid to do. Left without spending any money after customer service didn't do their job. Really disappointed as I now have to go across the city where I can hopefully find availability of what I need elsewhere.

Honestly the service can be hit or miss but for the most part they’re great, a lot better than purchasing/receiving support through the website which usually requires going into the store anyways.
