Do not order tools from this store. They say 5-10 business days, and I am currently at about a month from date of order still with no tool. When I called Friday November 1 (3 weeks after initial order), they initially said the tool was on back order with dewalt and they didn't know when it would arrive. I asked about cancelling the order, then they went and checked and the tool was magically not on back order and I received an email that it was being shipped. So they just forgot about my order, and it took me calling and threatening to cancel for them to magically find everything they needed.

I ordered a tool chest from them a while ago. They said that the order will be placed in a week. What they didn't tell me was that it will take over 6 weeks to get the item. Since I have ordered from them I keep getting their junk mail. I've sent it back with "moved" written in big bold letters but I keep getting their junk. I've tried to call and got a recording that, after giving me options I can't use, told me someone will be with me soon. Then after waiting a few minutes the system just hung up on me. All I want is to not get their junk mail and they do everything to avoid being contacted. This has caused more frustration than the tool chest was worth.
Well I did as suggested by the owner (see response below) and now, 4 months later I get more junk mail from them. I've emailed them again and asked to be taken off their mailing list but I'm not too optimistic. I'm actually scared they'll start spamming my email address now.

Super organized and professional grade tools.
Staff is lovely to deal with and super knowledgeable.
Shaylene Tompkins the manager was super helpful and saved me hundreds of dollars.
Jacob and John also came through and helped answer all my questions.
They are all very patient for beginners to Profesionals
Overall great store !!!

Today, I embarked on what I thought would be a simple mission to Busy Bee Tools just a quick trip to grab an up-cut spiral bit.
As I walked in, I was immediately greeted by no one. Not a soul in sight ready to assist. In fact, one employee seemed to be deeply engrossed in an intense staring contest with her computer screen, head down, clearly channeling her inner ostrich. The hope that I wouldn’t dare disturb her precious moment of silence.
Meanwhile, I decided to explore the store on my own with no sign of the elusive up-cut spiral bit. It was as if I had wandered into the Bermuda Triangle of hardware stores.
After what felt like an eternity of aimless wandering I finally hit my breaking point. Without anyone acknowledging my existence, I left the store, still bit-less and thoroughly annoyed. Back to online ordering I go in
So, if you’re in the market for tools and enjoy scavenger hunts with no prize at the end, Busy Bee Tools might just be your place. But if you actually want help, you might want to look elsewhere. ⭐

The staff at the Ottawa lopcation are friendly and helpfull BUT, if you deal with online order or the customer service (via email or phone) do not expect much. I waited since February (it is now mid june) for an item paid for but never delivered. No call or email reply apart from their automated reply. They lost a customer, I will avoid from now on.

I purchased the router/planer combo several months ago, and it quickly broke.
I waited to get a replacement part, and when they finally sent something, it was the wrong part.
Now I can't even get them to reply.
Their approach to customer service is abysmal.

Bought Router and table totalling $402.25 and they delivered it without being able to tell me which day and which delivery company, to whom, they couldn't tell me that either as they didn't acquire a signature. I contacted them 14 months later because I had moved and wanted to update my mailing address so I would receive my stuff as they were back ordered and I was still waiting. They told me it had been delivered the previous month to my old address and that the order was completed. I informed them that if it had been delivered the previous month, I would have accepted the delivery as I indicated on the order comments not to deliver before 3:30pm if on a weekday. I took this as a "We lost your stuff and tough beans. This all happened in 2014 but the reason I am reviewing it now is that I recently contacted them about the issue and they didn't even offer me a discount on any future orders. They also said that they do not have any records of the said order. I said that's funny because I printed the order and details just today. They gave me the brush off...POOR POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE OR APPRECIATION AT HEAD OFFICE AS WELL.

Bought a baby feeder in Feb 2023. It broke within 3 weeks of purchase. We brought it back and they sent it to Toronto for repairs. Meanwhile we had to repurchase a new to keep going with business. After over 15 emails and calls with a case number and being told that it’s almost done being fixed we want a reimbursement. It has been over a year now of back and forth. They offered a store credit but we are never shopping there again. Give us our money back.

My family and I will not support Busy Bee, or buy even a used Craftex tool again. We have had issues with their lathe, dust collector, benchtop jointer, and planer straight out of the box or within 1 year of use. Their customer service seems to genuinely not care, or be equipped to action any solutions.

Product came fast. Unfortunately part was damaged. Contacted customer support and they responded after two days. Wanted more photos and I provided. It has been 2 weeks and I have been ghosted.
