Hôpital Montfort is Ontario’s Francophone academic hospital, offering exemplary person-centred care. The hospital is modern, bright, clean, and well-designed, with lots of natural light and clear bilingual signage in both English and French. It serves over 1.2 million people in Eastern Ontario in both official languages. The staff are exceptional, dedicated, diligent, kind, expert, hard-working, friendly, professional, and very respectful. Nurses take time to listen and explain things thoroughly, and doctors are calm and reassuring, providing outstanding service. Patients report feeling treated like royalty, and describe the atmosphere as warm, welcoming, community-oriented, and safe, which puts patients at ease during stressful visits. The emergency room can be busy, but the triage process is smooth and organized, with regular updates given. The waiting area is comfortable. Parking is convenient, fairly easy to access, and reasonably priced compared to other hospitals in Ottawa. Overall, Montfort provides excellent care and leaves a very positive impression.
