We come to the store to try. They have about 15 relatively good wool sweaters but there is no medium (most often size) to try. Do they care about customers? Not at all. I came back home and ordered from Amazon.

The store location is a bit outside the downtown city area but if you don't mind doing the drive, they have a nice selection from what you would find on their online store platform

Needed new duck boots & couldn't figure the sizing chart online. Went the Train Yards store for assistance. Alissa provided the details required & purchased correct sized boots.Alissa was very professional, knowledgeable & friendly/ pleasant. It was a great experience to receive excellent customer service. I came here looking for a parka while heavily leaning towards another, more popular brand from another store.
Every staff member was friendly and did whatever they could to find me answers even though they knew I was not likely to buy from them.
I ended up buying the parka.
It seems well made, waterproof, and a fairly high quality down. I'm very happy with my experience and will be back

I was very happy when I learned that L.L Bean was coming to Ottawa, but unfortunately, the quality of their products is not worth the high prices they charge. I'd rather go to the Patagonia store in Byward Market.

Customer service sucks. Their website allowed me to place an order and then the next day got an email that one of the items was cancelled because it was not in stock anymore. Decided to cancel my whole order because I wanted the free shipping and didn’t want to place a second order for 1 item. I had to call 3 times to sort out cancelling the order even tho they confirmed to me it was cancelled twice. And then one of the items still shipped after all that. Fourth time I called the girl was kinda condescending and spoke to me like I was a stupid child. I was simply calling to ask about the item they still shipped after I asked to cancel it twice already.

Very clean and organized place, a bit dull and tired for my liking. Staff seemed more interested in cleaning a spill by the change room than tending to the 15+ people in there. I’ll stick to online shopping.
