I always like coming here. The staff are knowledgeable and friendly and they have quality products that can be hard to find at big chains.

Easy to find, lots of parking, had what I needed, friendly staff. Went there during the last hour of business, so it was not very busy.

Pitiful service for curbside order. I called the store when I arrived and was told someone would come shortly and get my info. Waited 15 minutes nobody came. Had to go in and get it

Great store, cozy and well organized for all things around you garden, woodworking shop or house in general. Fantastic products and some of the friendliest and most knowledgeable staff I've come across in any store. Will definitely return.

I have been going to Lee Valley since they were on Queensview Dr. They have the highest quality tools for both woodworking and gardening, and top customer service for both. I have never regretted a purchase here and still use almost everything I have bought here.

Talk about a great way to see and feel the available items and tools. All the Veritas hand planers, full size cabinet saws, rikon band saws, routers, and of course a gigantic wall of dresser and cabinet hardware.

I like the store, but seems to be magnet for maskholes. You have to grab a number and the machine says “now serving ___” and the staff like to scream on top of it. Repeatedly. Customers seem to like to pull numbers and walk away. Sensory overload for sure.

Lee Valley gathers all sorts of interesting products into one place. They are primarily a mail order business but a few lucky places have showroom stores. In Ottawa, we are even more lucky, as the head office is here and this showroom is extensive.Looking for hardware? Check out the wall of handles etc, all on pull out doors. Are you a gardener? Check out the front of the store for great tools and solutions. Want to try leatherwork? Buy a kit. Baker? Right beside gardening. Stocking stuffers or quick useful gifts? Check the shelves by the service counters. In some cases, it helps to be price aware, as in some cases their prices are a bit inflated, though there is some value in being able to see so much harder to find product in one place. They are particularly notable for woodworking tools. Staff are knowledgeable and always willing to share their knowledge. Their woodworking tools, Veritas brand, are well thought of. Seminars on various topics happen periodically. Check their website.

I am a long time customer of Lee Valley and it is my favorite store for wood working tools and other curiosities. I was introduced to Lee Valley by my uncle. He was a career carpenter, wood worker and inventor. He was a Head carpenter and Lead Set Designer for the CBC until he retired about 20 years ago.He is now 85 years old and his health is failing him. He and my aunt have moved into an assisted living home. As a result of the move he had to sell off the treasure trove of tools (many of them bought from Lee Valley) that he spent a lifetime amassing. He'll never admit it, but I think it broke his heart. I remember the hours we spent together cleaning, maintaining, sharpening, oiling, and using those tools to create things; that just blew my mind.About 15 years ago he came from Newfoundland to visit me in Edmonton, and we went to the Lee Valley store (He had only ever bought online). When we left I bought a Lee Valley baseball cap and gave it to him. He wears it daily and according to my aunt, it was his prized possession (but it was in poor condition).Last year I went to the local store to get another hat to replace the well worn one. I was told that Lee Valley does not carry those hats any longer.I reached out Lee Valley customer service asking if perhaps there might be some old stock of the original Lee Valley ball caps. I was willing to pay whatever they would ask just to make my uncle, a dear man who introduced me to my love of building, carving, and woodworking, happy at Christmas?I received a response from Mr. Rob Lee, President of Lee Valley. Not only did he find me the hat, but he signed it and sent it to my uncle at no cost. This company desserves loyal customers because they are loyal to their customers. Merry Christmas Mr. Lee.

Lee Valley was excellent. Been a while since I was there and the set up is different but the staff there are friendly and helpful. Picked up an emergency radio which is needed in this time and age. Has everything to help in case there's an emergency in the city.

Great quality products and a great selection of common and specialty tools and supplies. Be prepared for the price... "you get what you pay for" and they only carry good stuff (as far as I have experienced so far). I would prefer it if they had more showroom to browse rather than order to the desk to look at what you might buy.

The staff at Lee Valley Ottawa store have always provided me with exemplary, above-and-beyond service. I couldn't count the number of times in the past 20 years that they have patiently and professionally helped me arrive at the right solution for what I needed for different projects, all with a smile. This is my go-to store for all my project needs. And their products are of the upmost highest quality, many of which will last a lifetime. Thank you Lee Valley!
