Since the takeover by Kingswood Capital Management in 2020, there has been quite a slashing of inventory!The MEC house brand, which aimed to be good quality at a good price, has almost disappeared.2024-02 Surprise, products from the Mec banner are back on display.There are fewer similar products at exorbitant prices and that's a good thing.After almost 30 years of visiting Mec, I notice the service is very ordinary and almost absent in French!

Only customer service is terrible. I spent hours waiting to chat with someone, never happened. I emailed them, received an auto reply 3-5 days to reply. That was the beginning of January. I followed up, nothing.

Vlad helped me choose my first climbing harness and Shoes. I feel that he went above and beyond just pointing me in the right direction. He was patient with me and gathered several different products to try out and helped me find the perfect starting gear that I needed. The cashier's I dealt with were also very friendly, and overall the team had bright faces and seemed eager to help. I will definitely return in the future.

Amazing service, went to buy winter boots and before I got to the checkout, the person who helped me notified the cash that there was a 50% off sale at a nearby outdoors store and they price matched them! Always a great experience shopping here.

The quality has gone down and the price way up. Not worth shopping at MEC unless the item is 60% off or more. Much better off buying Patagonia, Arc’teryx, Decathalon, SAIL, REI or Costco products.

I bought north face Parka for my son at a great price. There is a washroom on the second floor. There is a limited parking bay arround the store.

I love MEC... But why the hell have they removed the prices from all the hangers. The prices are only listed on the back of each product and half the time there's no price at all so you're left wondering where the prices are. What a stupid decision from upper management.

Extremely frustrating experience - they’ve removed all of the price tags. Product selection and customer service has nosedived over the last few years unfortunately. Go out of my way to shop at SAIL at this point.
