There are always such long lines at this Metro. This morning there was 6 people in line and only one slow moving cashier. I was supposed to get 30% one of my produce items but couldn't be bothered because it was taking soooo long and the cashier was clearly clueless. For the HIGH prices I expect better. Disappointed do better Metro.

This review is long overdue. I have shopped here for years. I worked in the Glebe in 2015 and again in 2022 through 2024. This is one of the nicest grocery stores in the city. The selection is excellent for the size of store and they have some specialty products I rarely see. Kira checked me out and expertly packed my bags, as I had the pleasure of shopping today! I was able to get the Guinness for my Irish stew too! Ran into Ian, such a terrific manager, and was assisted by Don who helped me take my groceries out down a very slushy sidewalk and waited until my Uber arrived. He helped load up and saw me safely on my way home. I really can't say enough about the service way more then 5. I would give them 100 stars. Thank you!

The customer service provided by the cashiers' could be better. It is definitely not upto the habitual Metro standards. Rather help you get on with your day, it seems cashiers' create more problems at the register, some of these could be avoided by very simple questions. When providing a paid service, the onus of understanding the request falls on the cashier.

Metro Glebe is a short walk from my home. I go there all the time. They often have lots of good products on sale for really good price.

I was browsing the internet and I usually don't write reviews, but I saw this one and I'm really sorry for some people who leave comments unfairly and maliciously, especially about a store that is incredibly popular in the Glebe area, offers fresh products with reasonable prices (are Whole Foods prices cheaper than Metro's???). The staff is also exceptionally kind and beloved, always helpful and responsible. Especially the person that someone mentioned (Armin), who always helps me with packaging. I will never forget the day I felt ill in the store and how he assisted me!

Once again they are not stocking Metro flyer items. The excuse is that they are too small. I suspect it’s because they don’t want to stock loss leaders, rather than the size of the store. How difficult can it be to order in featured products. They really should drop the Metro banner and just become an independent grocery.

Awful store. The staff always seems miserable and some of the new cashiers are incredibly rude (Armin). More expensive than other grocery stores, and frequently tries to sell expired products - it’s happened too many times to count. Also, it’s over-air-conditioned so you freeze when dressed for summer. Been going periodically for years but finally done with this place.
