Clean, attractive, and well laid out store. They is a huge variety of pet foods and supplies. Prices are quite reasonable.

I come here almost every single day with my dog but after today’s interaction I won’t be back.
I went in at 11:30am with my dog looking to get dog food and a treat for him and some for my cat at home. The girl working was at the register gossiping with an older guy for like 15 minutes, didn’t look up at me didn’t, even acknowledge me and made me wait around.
I haven’t seen this level of disrespect and dismissal for a customer before and I won’t be back. The man kept leaving and then coming back to continue the gossip session.
I’ve informed my family of the situation and we will be getting our pet supplies elsewhere so we don’t inconvenience gossip sessions in the future.

This is the best pet store you could go to I want with my son about a month ago and bought him a fish I was taking care off by a girl named Hannah she is super amazing and best customer service ever she was so helpful and caring at the same time she was professional the best employee ever congrats on choosing your staff I would definitely recommend and go to your store and Location with wonderful and knowledgeable staff ❤️❤️❤️

We usually take our pup for a wash at the Trainyards location; however, due to ongoing plumbing issues, we had to pivot to a different location.
I have only had positive experiences with Pet Valu employees, so I am extremely disappointed to report this horrendous first experience at this location.
My pup is an anxious and stressed girl, and being in a new location and already stressed from grooming, we were trying our very best to be in and out. I swear the process took 12 minutes as we were very courteous of another lady waiting with her dog.
The customer and the Pet Valu employee asked if we could have a neighbor, and we did not want to be rude and said yes. We have bathed our dog next to a Golden Doodle at the Trainyards location and that was fine.
However, when the other dog got into the bin next to us, our dog started being very reactive and so did the other dog, so we decided it was best for the other person to wait. The other customer was very kind and understanding.
When we finished up, my partner took our dog to the car while I rinsed the hair down and prepared to pay at the front. The employee, who had dyed pink hair, asked if my dog was typically reactive. I explained that she can be sometimes, expecting some understanding as most experienced pet professionals usually are. To my shock, the employee aggressively belittled me, claiming I had said my dog wasn’t reactive when asked earlier. I honestly did not recall being asked that, and I apologized, explaining that no other Pet Valu employees had asked me such a question before a bath. Despite my apologetic demeanor, the employee continued to belittle me, stating that washing down the bin was pointless since they had to do it anyway, all while giving me mean and glaring looks. She angrily said that she could've gotten bit during her interaction with me, to which I again apologized.
Feeling humiliated and hurt, I paid and left in tears. I work so hard on training my dog and deal with difficult people in customer service every day as my profession, yet as a customer myself, I was treated with such disrespect. My partner went back in to speak with the employee to get an understanding of what happened, and their demeanor completely changed—they were stuttering, scared, and apologetic, a stark contrast to how they spoke to me. As a woman of color, it was disheartening to see that this employee, a Caucasian female-presenting person, felt it was easy to belittle me but became submissive when confronted by my Caucasian partner. I was so shocked that someone could talk to me that way when I was the customer. This doesn't seem like the first experience where a person of colour has felt treated differently in this store.
I report this because it doesn't take a lot to be kind to others or express how you feel without shaming and belittling them. I can take ownership of what I did wrong. Please, just be kind and understanding with customers. This experience has left me deeply disappointed and we will never return to this location.
