My mom and I were shopping at this location last weekend and one of the middle aged staff members (short blonde lady) was very unprofessional. As my mom and I browsed the store she mouthed to her colleague saying, “watch them” when we were in her proximity about to ask her for some help. Then she proceeded to ask us if we needed help. When my mom asked her about her weird behaviour she became very rude and freaked out on us. She pointed her finger at my mom saying she’s making things awkward and raised her voice to say “bye” and “bye-bye” as we were leaving. We will not be shopping there until Roots replaces their unfit employee who literally harasses your customers out the door. Btw, my family has been Roots customers for over 30 years.

This morning (Sunday February 4th)I was heading to your store as it says it opens at 10am. I get there and it's closed, I assume that Google had it wrong. I see a girl at the front desk with headphones in. I say in a very neutral tone that Google says you're open. She replies "okay, thanks" and gives a rather snarky expression. I wasn't sure if she maybe didn't hear me or not so I say "did you know?" She says "nope, bye-bye" I told her she didn't have to be so rude and she replies with "you didn't need to tell me anything" we go back and forth a few more times and I leave. I'm not ever shopping at this location if this inappropriate employee is working there. What a horrible experience for me and my friend that was visiting from out of the country ?? Absolutely disgusted with the service of this girl! Do better Roots. You're a great store but that kind of rudeness is absolutely unacceptable

they need to get RID of that gender free sizing stuff.. its so confusing and has just led me to end up with a sweatshirt that is so huge its useless and it was final sale so no refund

Very bad service, bad attitude towards customers, employees are disinterested in people who speak French (the Franco/Anglo war when working in commerce should be put aside), yet we are in the capital of a bilingual country. Furthermore, we returned and found that the locks were still there… we had traveled 600km round trip to go to Roots among other things!

The young man working at the Rideau Store location this evening had a serious case of "bad attitude".The company should consider training their staff; not only good basic manners, but also body lanquage etiquette.

Ordered online used express shipping 18.00. They use Canada Post so it took a week to get here. Please Roots use Intelcomm delivery and another service more efficient than Canada Post

I don’t often give one stars but with reason I do.I have no issues with the products, the brand or the location. My biggest issue coming in this store specifically was the employees, exactly Thursday 17 Mar around 4-6 pm.My mother, who’s older, politely asked an employee if she was in the female section as the sweatpants all looked the same. This employee had short dark hair and the way they responded to my mom, to me came across so careless and definitely not good customer service.I even felt like saying something but figured it was not worth my time. It felt like this employee was more interested in hanging out by the cash with the blond hair employee that was there than to assist customers. May I also add, the store was not busy and had us plus 1 more person.I wish for you in the future, you take your customers more into consideration and I’m sorry if you don’t enjoy doing so but that’s a principle of working in sales.
