Sky Lounge is a spacious bar and one of Ottawa's top dance bars, known for its large dance stage and huge bar. The atmosphere is highly volatile, ranging from absolutely dead to a great party atmosphere and very busy, especially during its popular monthly Latin night events. On those nights, it is packed with happy dancers and has a lively, safe environment with classy, polite security both outside and inside. The crowd is diverse, open to anyone regardless of race or age. It is a really nice place that can be a really great party, with fun events like viewing parties and performances such as Dueling Pianos, which are utterly amazing. However, the layout is terrible for a nightclub. The small dance floor becomes super congested, and a giant table on its edge wastes space. The seating area is freezing in winter, and coat check issues lead to a giant pile of coats. Service is inconsistent; a bartender took forever and gave the wrong drinks, and drinks are considered a rip-off—expensive for small pours, like a mini glass full of ice. The men's washroom stall door has no latch, which is problematic. The club's vibe feels frozen in time, with bouncers who can turn agro and DJs needing improvement. Wheelchair access is limited due to stairs without a visible elevator. With more order and caretaking, it could be a really great place.
This place was absolutely tiny, also ordered a vodka and red bull & whisky sour but couldn't get them to make one after my first drink place has a weird vibe and they were letting people in super slow when there was only 5 of us in line

The bar itself is fine, service was good but $13.50 before tip for a pint... not even a full pint. For Molson. Canadian.

Its like the club has been frozen in 2012, bouncers are really funny when they turn agro. The dj's need some after school lessons, they serve a platter filled with play doe food. Beautiful woman and ironic times can be expected here by any traveler in these lands.
