It was supposed to take 1-2 days to fix my bumper, four days later after still not having my car or hearing a word from them, I go see to the shop and learn that they didn’t even start on my car. They told me it’d be ready the next day, they next day they call me to say it’ll be one more day…I didn’t have a car for 6 whole days (Monday to Saturday). They did a good job on my bumper, looks great but MAN I don’t know if it was worth it…

In short, they somehow lost our tire rims. I recommend you take your car elsewhere. Long story: I've gone back and forth for a long time on whether to bother with leaving a review. We used the Garage for several years without issue, and always appreciated their work and professionalism. However, last fall, we brought our car in to have the winter tires installed. They have ALWAYS been on their own separate set of rims. When the car was in the shop, Jeremy called me to tell me the tires were worn out, so we elected to purchase new ones and have them installed. But when we picked up the car, we found our summer tires no longer on rims. He claimed our winters hadn't been on rims and they used the summer rims for the new winter tires. Frankly, with nothing but my word against theirs, I left, and went over and over in my head every possibility of how my winter tires could have NOT have been on rims when I dropped them off, but it's really not possible. They were always on rims. I carried them up from my basement that morning (heavy). Nevertheless, through several follow up calls, the Garage was unwilling to truly consider that the mistake could have been theirs. He "asked his guys" about it, and they claimed there'd been no rims. "I don't know what to tell you," was the response Jeremy repeatedly gave. So, we gave up and have since gone to a new garage. Mistakes happen, but the disinterest in trying to work with us to actually consider and resolve the situation is why I can't recommend this place anymore. And lesson learned: take pictures of your tires before you hand them over to any garage.

Baha is perhaps the most genuine person working there. He inspected my car and told me the required parts for fixing it. It took 3 weeks to fix the car but looks good as new. Reasonable prices. Appreciate all the effort done and definitely recommend this place for anyone.

Great interactions with the owner. Very honest and affordable in comparison with other auto shops and services. Best garage I’ve dealt with in Ottawa so far.Service: General repairs & maintenance

Amazing people at this garage. We were on our way to help sandbag in late April 2019 and as we loaded the car with shovels and gear, we spotted a screw head in a half deflated front tire. I phoned The Garage, as it was close by, to see if they could fix the tire asap. Larry from Newfoundland said he was all booked for that day. I told him where we were heading and he said bring the car in immediately and I will get you on your way. He said that he had wanted to go sandbagging but had to work, so he said he would fix our tire so we could go and help the flood victims. He made me cry as he was so kind and understanding. I would recommend The Garage at 280 Catherine to anyone. Great work and great people. Mary Rose Saccu

I recently got my car "repaired, bodywork done, and painted" at The Garage by Jeremy's paint and body "expert", Mike, and a mechanic. I paid $4500 for a totally botched job. It will cost me thousands to repair the damages to my car, and get the work done that was paid for but not done. I got a $99 job with zero CS, Jeremy felt it was ok to make money off of my experience. I feel ripped off, like Mike took me for a ride, and Jeremy facilitated the journey. Yeah, this is a neighbourhood garage - a "friendly place" that has given me a safety inspection without even looking at my car, where you can go without appointment, and I once got a lift home. I saved taxes by paying cash, was invited into the backroom for a beer/popsicle on hot Fridays... It is that kind of place - this time, I feel the guy who does body and paint - fleeced me, that I was cheated, scammed, taken, hoodwinked, played, whatever you want to call it - it was not what I would consider honest, ethical, or honourable. I thought Jeremy was a good guy - I am disappointed. I asked for satisfaction and was met with hostility. I trusted Mike - I would never trust him again - not with anything. I do not recommend The Garage. Caveat Emptor. Consumer Beware.
