We went to get some gas on the way to Tobermory. My mom went inside and was told by a man at the register that it was for paid customers. We returned inside after we filled up the gas and to our shock a new handwritten sign was posted “washroom out of order”. Never had such a bad experience at a gas station like this one.

Esso should take back the franchisee status as the shop is tinting the branding. The fellow at the counter is miserable and washroom is “out of order”

We just stopped for $90 of gas at 9:43 (closes at ten) and the man at the counter wouldn’t let our kids use the bathroom because it “was closed for cleaning”

I genuinely feel bad for the old guy at the counter, I really hope he finds his peace someday.
Big sign on door that says washroom is for “paid” customer only. I had a full tank but desperately needed to pee. So I went in there and bought some snacks. I treated the fella at the counter with nothing but respect and asked nicely to use the washroom, to which he replied, “only one out of the two of you can use the washroom”, followed by an uncontrollable rage rant about how people treated him badly so that he is doing the same to people. What people? There’s only two of us here. He proceeded to throw me out the door right after. Nicely done.
