I went into the Owen Sound Salvation Army Thrift store today and was verbally accosted at the cash by a red headed employee. There were two ladies ahead of me when a cashier shouted throughout the store that she would be right up as there was no cashier present at that time. I stood off to the left ( looking at book I was going to purchase) as they were together with 2 separate purchases. I stood off to the left of the counter because if I stood behind them I was in the way of those wishing to exit the store. The two ladies left and the cashier looked at me and then the other people to the right of me, that came long after I was already there, which this cashier knew I was there before she was even at the cash and said “ you need to get in line” I responded by saying “ I was already here when the two ladies who just left were being served” she said “ that’s not in the line!!!lI said “ where is the line? “ confused because there was no clear indication where the line was or is.She started to raise her voice and accuse me of having an attitude for asking where the line was, when she ordered me to move behind the lady she was about to serve. I rolled my eyes and sighed because clearly there was no communicating with this individual. She kept on chirping and all I kept saying and repeating calmly was “ okay, okay, okay “ she would not let up and proceeded to humiliate me further by demanding that I apologize to her, or leave the store before she calls the manager.I am even more confused and stunned by her self escalating behaviour. She was literally arguing with herself but directed at me. I said “ I think that would be best” regarding calling the manager.I have donated and shopped I this stores location many times and I was so rocked my her verbal attack and felt the best thing was to say nothing. It felt extremely uncomfortable and embarrassed as she kept going. She shouted so the whole store could hear “ MICHELLE WE HAVE A PROBLEM UP HERE!! I NEED A MANAGER!!”Michelle the manger was lovely and removed this person to serve me. She listened when I expressed my concerns as to how I was just treated. One would think better of a charity shop that has Christian values. While I am Brethren and not part of the Salvation Army church I would still think it important to have staff on hand that treat customers, and others with dignity and respect. Please make the cash out line clear to customers so that we may know where to go. Train your staff to not verbally attack customers and not demand apologies when clearly she was arguing with herself.

Very clean. Some people who work there are funny and laugh about what we say. Laugh a day makes a person's day. Go there.

I didn't purchase anything. Regardless, the store is very clean and presents well. Great clothing selection with some men's clothing name brand (Wrangler, Guess, Levi, etc) combined with some decent looking kitchen and household items.Great store.
