Value Village, a Savers brand, is a for-profit, global thrift retailer offering great quality, gently used clothing, accessories and household goods. Their Rethink Reuse® business model of purchasing, reselling and recycling gives communities a smart way to shop and keeps more than 700 million pounds of used goods from landfills each year. The company also helps over 100 nonprofit organizations by purchasing donated goods from them, providing a source of revenue to support their vital community programs and services. With over 300 locations and 20,000 employees, Value Village's brands include Savers (in the U.S. and Australia), Value Village (in the U.S. and Canada), Unique (in the U.S.), and Village des Valeurs (in Quebec). Customers praise the store's great selection of items and pretty good prices, with some finding impressive deals on electronics and appliances. The staff are also commended for their friendly and helpful attitudes. However, some customers note that the stores can be extremely busy and overwhelming, with long waits at the self-serve cash registers. The lack of changing rooms since the COVID-19 pandemic is also a source of frustration for some shoppers. Additionally, a few customers feel that certain items, especially jewelry, are overpriced compared to non-profit thrift stores.
Lots of new items, great variety of Christmas stuff. Alot over priced. And dislike I have to scan my purchase. Don't want to work there, and with a bad knee took way longer as some tags kept double scanning. So someone had to come and fix...
