A pox on their house for building 6 self checkouts, only using 2, and leaving cash closed. Actually a nice location otherwise.

Lots of new items, great variety of Christmas stuff. Alot over priced. And dislike I have to scan my purchase. Don't want to work there, and with a bad knee took way longer as some tags kept double scanning. So someone had to come and fix...

I left a one star review a few weeks ago and got the same copy and paste response from the owner. I am going to share my experience now because I had a friend who stopped by this location and had the same experience this past week. Tall male staff member with an accent and longer hair is not very kind, over my past several visits stands directly over my shoulder as though I am stealing? I’ve asked if there was a bathroom I could use to the response “why don’t you go figure it out I don’t know if you know how to use a bathroom” on another visit. I think this staff member profiles people based on race. I’ve experienced it I’ve heard now multiple times from other poc friends that they’ve experienced it and when I was in the store with my partner who is not poc he made mention of it to me directly commenting on how I was treated by this staff member specifically. It’s literally an inside joke when we go to this store now.

Too much stock piled on top of everything else. Kind of dirty.

The store had great items, and pretty good prices! Awhile back I got myself a WiiU for $80 and a Macbook for $100!! Pretty good deals. There used to be change rooms but not anymore.

When the pricing of what you’re selling become comparable to what regular retailers are selling the same product for, you need to do better, especially if what you’re selling is donated to you for free.
$8.99 for a full skein of yarn
$7.99 for a half skein of the same yarn?
All while it’s $8.12 at Michael’s
Insane.

Pembroke Value Village always has some little treasures hiding away. Thank you to all of the staff members that make this place run from the drop off zone that I know must get exhausting on the busy days, to the cashiers that always have a smile to share, to the people in the back sorting all our stuff that we never even see! Always a fun trip, even if it's just for a quick sift through:)

No change rooms to try clothes on and there's no refunds offered. Where's the incentive to shop here? Because it's definitely not the prices.

AWFUL prices. I have never seen a value village this expensive before. The only upside is they have a lot of stuff so it's a fairly wide selection, but that's mainly because its extremely overstocked... probably because of how expensive it is. Here's an example of a pair of new snow pants that still had the original tag on that were being sold for $5 more than the original price. That is ridiculous, considering they get everything donated for free to them.

It was extremely busy and a bit overwhelming. There was only self serve cashes and most of them were taken. If I wanted to pay cash I had to wait for them to get liberated so I had to use card to access the other self serve cash. But I did find a lot of cool stuff, and it’s a place you need to check out, you will find treasure.
The jewelries are a bit overpriced.
