Decent variety, I found pretty much what I had on my shopping list. I'll have to go to Ottawa for the rest...

Highway robbery cuz the owner knows you have no other choice in Petawawa, average grocery store items. Rarely can you find something slightly obscure/specific.

Man, this place is so nostalgic. Prices are good here, staff are friendly, you name it. My friend loves this place cause he's a teenager and teenagers being teenagers, love to talk about how hot the cashier was.

The quality of the food at the store is great, but sadly the service is not. The number of times I have left this store (after spending far too much money on the overpriced food) feeling thrown off by the terrible level of customer service has reached a point where it's not worth returning.Sure, the store is conveniently located. But I am blown away by the rudeness of staff. Looking forward to that food basics coming in across the street.Independent: do better.

this specific independent should be renamed "OUT OF STOCK" this has to be the worst grocery store for inventory I've ever seen

Produce is hit or miss...mostly miss. Selection is mediocre and prices are pretty high.

The kitchen section where you get chicken strips and made salads, maybe adding a bell to ring in the area because everytime we go, the staff is talking with eachother with their backs to the customers. Three seperate times we've went and the manager walking by had to get their attention to serve us.The chopped fruit trays in the fresh isle is bad quality, we got it twice, thought the first time was just bad luck, but the blueberries strawberries were slimey and fruit just wasn't good. They have expired health food products in the natural isle, and they're extremely overpriced. My health food store in my hometown is half the price of their natural health products..and atleast they add a sale to them before they expire so they aren't wasted. The store is extremely over priced. It won't survive when Food basics is built, theyre prices are alot lower.5.99 for one mango? Really lol common, it's not even organic. Sorry, I'm being a bit cross, I'm just bitter at this store, everytime we go our bill always gets so expensive and things we've bought were expired

I enjoy the curb side pickup. No need to enter the store or leave your car.

They have a good selection, but the prices are a bit steep!!! The store itself looks clean and well put together. The produce is USUALLY pretty decent (especially compared to some of the other grocery stores in the next town over). Although I have had an issue finding decent produce (that wasn't already bad or going to go bad within a day or 2). When they have good sales on, it can become hard to get the products that are on sale, depending on the day or time of day, the shelves aren't always stalked properly. Which just means I have to ask an employee to grab the item from the back. All in all, it is a pretty decent store when it comes to selection and quality; it's the price of the products that I have a hard time getting over. I can go into the next town and buy double the amount of food for the same price as I would pay at this store.

The in house made fruit and vegtable trays are terrible. The pieces are ALWAYS huge and very sloppily cut. You would think for a luxury grocery store they would provide you with bite sized fruit. Not to mention they do not reply to lower reviews with constructive feedback.

They really need to check their expiry dates! And if something is coming up to it's expiration in a couple months, put it 40-50% off so the products will move and not go to waste and the customers get a deal! It's a win win for everyoneAlso a huge chunk of the natural health isle was expired and the non pasteurized juices near the salads (greenhouse juices) were a day away from expiry, and they could have been 50% or something but after expiry date you can't sell them, and they're expensive. What a waste. But also, non pasteurized juice is dangerous to drink if it's expired! Someone could get REALLY sick. . I'm pregnant and I almost bought one. The staff is friendly I hate to complain but it's not safe to sell expired products. Especially unpasteurized juice
