“Living Hope community church hosts a beautiful Women’s Coffee Break — a two-hour Bible study that feels like a breath of fresh air. When you arrive, you pick up your name card, pour yourself a coffee, and enjoy some pastries or whatever delicious treats have been prepared. Then you take your seat, and from that moment on, something wonderful begins to unfold.

The morning starts with a short Scripture reading. You simply listen to the Word of God and allow it to speak to your heart. After that, two lovely women lead us in worship, guiding us through two worship songs.

We then watch an inspiring video, thoughtfully chosen to encourage and strengthen us. Afterward, everyone breaks into four small groups to discuss what we’ve just watched. Each woman is free to share her insights, her reflections, and her understanding of the verse or message presented. It’s a safe and supportive space where every voice matters.

We close our time together in prayer, lifting up one another’s needs and petitions. When the study ends, anyone is welcome to stay and help tidy up, or join in preparing simple acts of service — like making sandwiches for the homeless community.

The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and filled with kindness. The women in attendance are spirit-filled, gracious, and genuinely happy to see you. I highly recommend this gathering — it’s a place where you feel at home the moment you walk in.”

“The BEST simple design church. The chairs are blue, feels like everybody is on a ship. The ceiling is white like heaven. They turned the cross of Jesus into the Star of Bethlehem as there is a light glow with the cross/star surrounded by small stars beside it. The light blue background behind the cross/star shows how bright the Star of Bethlehem is.There are no live music but the live music recordings sound so good & are actually better. Lol. The pastor is great high energy Like a librarian. The worst part of this place is everybody here is old & there's too much coughing. Too much. Overall, great experience.”

“Wonderful Experience. The people are very friendly. I love how the choir wears like Harry Potter attire. That's very cool. The mass is very tall from the inside & feels spatious. That really provides presence and atmosphere. The hymns are simple, nice, & easy to sing. The kids conversation is quite long & the length may be too much. Keep it short would be better. There is many classrooms & a venue there which is nice. Just simple & resourceful. Great fellow attendees there, very friendly. It's a great feeling attending this church. Also, this was the first church I've been to that makes the Our Father into a hymn. Great experience.”

“The Best Warm Lighting I've Seen in a Church. The All-Brown with the warm lighting in the church creates a very intimate & warm atmosphere. So effective. So nice. Great first experience here. It was nice speaking & having cookies with the long-time parishioners here. I had a tour with the Chief of the Board here. Very friendly old man.The old women here really LOVE the elevators. Haha! ?”

“Noel was the best vocal performance I've ever heard in a church.I also really liked the Anthem song where everybody sung. So awesome. I do got to say that it is not that bright inside as the windows are not a clear window here so it kind of drags down your mood a little (the picture just automatically brightens the photo up). The reflection meditation was too long & also, the cushion on the pews are not attached to the wood so they keep sliding off place when you sit so it gets a little annoying. Those two songs - The Anthem & Noel really woke me up that's why I really like those two songs. The singer of Noel, her vocal range was the best I've ever heard from a church singer. Wow! I'm impressed by her a lot. ?”

“Peterborough City Church has been intrinsic to my faith in God.There have been a few changes in location over the years, due to covid and other things. But one thing remains true at this church. The teaching is sound, and the people love Jesus.I remember the first year I attended Peterborough City Church. I was a new Christian and had a lot of fears surrounding God. And so many times when I went to church on Sunday, it was like I could breathe again. This church taught me about God’s love for us. That God doesn’t give up on people. What it means to believe in, to trust Jesus. About having a relationship with God. About what sin actually is.The people are also incredibly warm and welcoming.I definitely recommend Peterborough City Church.”

“Welcoming but small congregation in a historic well-maintained downtown sanctuary. Their new minister, Rev Kristiane Black, shares her warmth, support and encouragement to everyone she meets. Intelligent, thought-provoking sermon, refreshing, joyous music at the most recent service I attended. Deserves another visit if you haven't been for a while.”

“my experience at this church has always been a positive one for myself, husband and little girl. we have many great memories in and around this church for the past 5 years. we came to know some amazing people. we have donated food, clothing, toys and many hours of our time helping out for activities held at the church. however one incident with a member of the church has left our family feeling upset, angry and very disapointed and discouraged at the way we were treated. we had a very sick and injured bird we tried to save but despite everything she passed away. our first thought was to bury this bird in the back lot under a tree at our favorite church and say a prayer for her. our daughter was so upset but was happy and proud of herself to be doing this. a man claiming to be the warden of the church screamed at us to get off the property. was instantly very disrepectful and incredibly rude and arrogant.called us liars that we are involved in the church. representing the church in this way is so sad. we no longer feel welcome. very disapointing”

“Really Nice People.

This couple that led the service pretty much were super friendly to me. He's from Cyprus, the husband. They even drove me home. The pastors are Great. The male pastor husband was very friendly to me. Good little gathering at the 6 PM Prayer Meeting. This is quite a big church inside. It feels really great entering here. Very real prayer meeting. Everybody was pouring their hearts out to pray for the community, the world, & each other. Great raw experience. I do like the location of this church.”

“Cool Band Trumpets.

This is the first church that I went to where they play as an actual band where everyone has a trumpet. Wow! It was loud in here. I love the white Salvation Army Uniforms they wear. Just a cool spot. This is the downtown church in Peterborough that you never heard of before. It's low key even while being in Downtown Peterborough, haha! At first, I thought it was a church for only police officers or police trainees but no, that's just the Salvation Army uniforms. Very friendly woman I met from Newfoundland. Im excited to see the finished chapel. Cool.”
