Poor experience here today with Cori. Unfortunately she was just not friendly very unhappy would just throw your items in the counter scattered around even tho I had a bin everything could go in nicely I’m not saying i expected her to bag my items but it would been nice if she would of handled my items with care not the best experience today

I was just at the Portage location store number 40056. There was an older lady working cash, I went to grab the unused bar to put behind my stuff so customer behind me could put their stuff up. She yelled at me that it wasn't too be moved. Taken aback I waited for the last couple items of the last before me to be rung through, I then moved the bar behind my stuff and gently pushed my stuff forward. A couple things slid off the belt because they were on top of a colouring book. I apologized and said I was just moving my stuff up. The lady in front of me commented to the cashier is because we are from a generation that was taught to do that out of respect for others, I agreed. When the lady ahead of me was trying to use her card to pay (I was looking away) the cashier told her she could turn the debit machine so I couldn't see her put her pin, as the customer said it was fine where it was I turned to look taken a little aback again, the cashier then reached over and shoved my stuff away from the scanner towards the customer behind. At this point I said okay out loud and walked out of the store. I will not be going back to this location again. I will drive across town if I need a dollartree again. This was the worst customer service I have ever seen and have worked in customer service for almost 20 years.

I was at the dollar tree with my boyfriend. We were going through the checkout and he wanted a pack of gum. He walked up to and ask how much was the gum because there were no signs posted anywhere, and despite it saying everything is a dollar and twenty five cents, that is just not the case, and she responded “it’s $1.25“ and he responded “oh OK it’s just that it’s a $.91 at the dollar store“ and she said “well then take your business there I’m not here to argue” in the rudest tone I couldn’t believe what I was hearing and he said I will and we walked away and then she condescendingly said “have a wonderful evening, we don’t take kindly to ‘your folk’ anyway“ I will never be coming back to this dollar tree, and this woman should be fired. She was older with long gray hair and glasses. If anyone knows this woman, please have her written up , her attitude was disgusting and disgraceful to the establishment.

Went to dollar tree on Chemong Road in Peterborough,ON this weekend and not impressed. Yes I know prices have went up and a couple of our items had $2 stickers on them but other things were not priced at their home or on the item. If it’s not marked it should be $1 maybe $1.25 but we were charged more for some of the items. If everything is a different price now or something EVERYTHING needs to be stickered now. Nobody is going to shop there if they have no idea how much things are ?

This was always my go to Dollar store. I will never step one foot into this establishment, nor will I give them any of my hard earned cash. I was having a bad day and went to get comfort food. I was also out of lighters and needed to grab some. The lines were long which I understand. When I got to the till everything went fine until I went to buy my lighters and was told I needed ID. I was taken a back because I have never been ID at a dollar store in my life. I go to Dollerama all the time for lighters and never get ID. I am a 30 year old female with tattoos. When I said doesn’t my tattoos work as ID. As you have to be over 18 to get tattooes. She said it “didn’t” work as I could have gotten them in a friggin basement. I was so upset by the comment that I went back to work balling my eyes out. Never have I felt so disgusted by the way I was treated and revolted about the comments on my beautiful art work. Which I got at well established business in Peterborough I might add. Next time maybe be a little more considerate to your customers!

WOW is the manager/owner ever rude! The staff is great and friendly but not him no way! It's too bad because they have the best prices for any Dollarstore in the area. They just need to get a new manager!!!!!

Coming to dollartree has been one of the things I grew up doing … having it close to my home even better … NOT ONCE NOT TWICE BUT THIS IS THE THIRD TIME I CAME AND THE STORE OWNER DAN NEVER SAYS HI NEVER HELPS ME OTHER CUSTOMERS IN THE STORE HELPED ME LOOK FOR GARBAGE BAGS … it’s 10 am this guy DOESNT EVEN SAY HI TO HIS CUSTOMERS …MAYBE BECAUSE OF MY SKIN COLOUR BUT COLOURED PEOPLE DONT GO HERE !!!
