Definitely not a food bank, more like a trap house. The animals that live there themselves are the ones who need assistance. Extremely disappointed in our community for allowing this kind of scam to exist and somehow support it..

Due to COVID and recent family events, my husband and I are now living with my mother-in-law, whom has been having trouble with the house, bills, and food on her own. My husband and I have been working together to help her get back on track and have been telling her about all the help there is in the community. So... today we called Peterborough Pet Food Bank, and we were told to come by. We went, and the gentleman whom runs it (out of his home, from the kindness of his heart) had a huge bag of dog food and 12 tons of cat food for us to pick up. This is amazing! My mother-in-law couldn't believe that it was all free. Thank you so so much for your help! We are definitely going to be donating some things to them in the future, once we're better established. ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤????

Though her heart was in the right place it was very awkward when I had walked 2.4k each way in the rain to be told they didn't have the cat supplies we had spoken about and sorry? I'm disabled and this was very difficult from asking for help and having to walk both ways. Someone at the residence came after me when I left and offered a few dollars (probably all they had) to help and suggested dollar store as an option? If I had been able to just go to the store I would not have asked for their help. They did seem in a better position to help dogs needs but if I had been given correct info I wouldn't have made such a difficult trek that day. As I said at the start her heart is in the right place but this lady needs help to lead to less confusion and disappointment and provide the help she obviously wants to give.
