I have been with scotia for a number of years. Recently, I needed information on wiring a large sum of money. I unfortunately encountered a teller, who either didn't know alot about wiring money or just couldn't be bothered. I asked to speak with the bank manager and was told he wasn't in. Instead of resolving, she ignored me. (Older woman, Linda) A customer service woman , within scotia, spoke with me. On leaving the bank, I stopped her. She gave me some information on wiring money, but I was so frustrated with my first encounter with Linda. If Linda hates her job so much, maybe it's time to retire.

If zero was an option it would be more accurate. Not only is this place a sensory nightmare — loud music, loud people, it being hot inside… you also get the luxury of standing in a long lineup. Once you make it to the front to find out even with two pieces of ID they still can’t help you. Most useless bank I’ve ever been to. Literally go anywhere else.

Close your account and go with a new bank that won't hold every paper cheque that you've earned fair and square. Using my scene points n withdrawing everything properly. Not sending me no cheque. Closing my account. Shame on Scotia.

They don't reply to messages or email. Phone isn't to the actual branch but a national number and is a confusing mess of menus and of no help at all since they don't respond anyways. Can't schedule a meeting with your specific advisor either, just randomly assigned.

Can’t get in touch with a person from your branch, continuously directs you to the 1800 line even when calling the branches number. I was only trying to see if my credit card was there so that I’m not wasting my time and gas driving 45 minutes into town for nothing. Not dire but definitely inconvenient. If I was in the position to do so I’d switch to td for all of my banking needs as trying to get in contact with a person from my branch shouldn’t be this hard it’s ridiculous.

Very bad experience and extremely disappointed.
Not only once, but 3 different times with 3 different people at Scotiabank. I had to go for 3 appointments for 1 simple change related to my work permit status change. And still, they could not help me out with that simple change/issue.
Also, in 3rd appointment, the person Willaim (Matt) Young made a mistake in selecting a choice without my approval, and when I told him I didn't want that, he blamed me and said I was creating problems. So, he told me to cancel this appointment and come back again with a new appointment. This led to my credit score down 2 times just because of the mistakes of this branch staffs.
Furthermore, when I tried to contact the branch manager, I did not receive any response/support from their staff and I felt I was completely neglected.
I believe I made a mistake by not checking the reviews of this specific Scotiabank branch before visiting there and wasting my job hours several times.
I would not suggest this bank to anyone. Very frustrating experience.

DRIVE THRU ATM rarely works. More than 70% of the time will not accept your deposit so you have to actually use the ones inside the store which is a pain.

Allison demonstrated unparalleled professionalism and courtesy during my recent visit. Her attention to detail and willingness to assist made my banking transaction seamless. I appreciate the excellent customer service provided by Allison and the entire Scotia Bank team. Highly recommended for their outstanding service!

I call there branch regarding my account and lady employee answered the phone. She was crazy and asking hundred of questions and took 40 minutes and after that did not solve the issue. It’s so irritated, she has no sense and providing awful service to clients.very unprofessional and poor service.
