I made a makeup appointment this year in January. I usually pick this location to do my makeup and was always happy with whoever does my makeup. This was years ago (2015)- now all the old MUAs have left and there is new people at this location. The MUA was very nice but the eye makeup was very basic. I informed her my eyelids are very oily after seeing the eyeshadow fade before I was even done the appointment. I told her I wanted big bold lashes and the lashes she put on me were almost invisible. It was the eyebrow part which shocked me. She did my eyebrows and they were noticeably uneven- granted my brows are not the same shape. I informed her nicely that they were uneven and she tried to fix them and I was still unhappy and she told me to do them myself! I was taken aback- I am not spending 100 dollars for myself to do my makeup, what's the point of going to a MUA in the first place. I told her no, and she did what she could and I just left it at that. You can tell she was getting frustrated and I felt bad but I was so unhappy with the eye look! The face makeup was done beautifully I will say.I did go home and fixed my eyeliner, eyebrows, and went to Sephora to get big bold lashes to put onto of my little lashes provided by the MUA at MAC. 1 star because of the foundation part looked great but the price of the makeup services went up for mediocre makeup. I am willing to give MAC another try with another MUA of course because of the years of excellent service from before. I do not want to pay for makeup application just for me to go home and fix it myself- that is a waste of time and money.

BRIDAL MAKE UP CANCELLED WITH NO NOTICE.
I called Pickering MAC back in June 2022 to secure a spot for Bridal make up in September. The lady I spoke with gladly confirmed that there was no other bookings that day and secured me a spot with a MUA.
I called today (August) to confirm my appointment for September and they then let me know there is now a wait list for this designated day and I am third on the wait list. She let me know it is unlikely that I will have my booking with "recent staff changes".
I was advised that I would get a call within 2-3 WEEKS to confirm my appointment (which would be 1 week before my wedding).
I am more than disappointed with my experience here.
I now have to look for a new MUA with less than 1 months notice. I am so glad I called to confirm.
DO NOT BOOK your makeup here unless you want it cancelled a week before your event.

Had a bad experience on Saturday. I’m not sure if it’s because they were busy and it was 2hrs away from closing but the girl who was available didn’t want to help me at first. I waited for 15mins till someone was free, at first when she was free she started wondering around so she didn’t have to make eye contact with me. I then advise her that i’ve been waiting for 15mins I explain to her what I was looking for but the entire time she seemed annoyed and robotic. I’ve never experienced anything like this from any other MAC location.

I went to Shoppers to test a product. Then I went to Mac. I wanted to test and compare coz I have senitive skin. The woman at Mac was so professional. She tested different shades until she found the proper one. You should have seen the difference with my face compare to the side I did at Shoppers. They are awesome at this location. There was another young girl working on another customer and she seemed to know what she was doing as well. I WOULD HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS LOCATION!

So far, I love them! It was super easy booking a makeup appointment, and I look forward to it since every time I visit the counter, every one is friendly and gorgeous :)

I have been to several mac stores , but this one is Pickering is literally the best . Every single staff member is so experienced and will not disappoint you .
I had my make up done by a man he was amazing and everyone complemented on my beautiful make up . What I loved the most is he didn't cake it on it looked so natural even though loads was applied .
I have even advised staff at other locations that are new to ask for additional training at the Pickering store .
Can't wait for my caribana make to be done !!
