I'm deeply disappointed that my son's hard work went unnoticed during his Grade 12 graduation ceremony. While he received his diploma and three certificates for honor roll, Cardinal Carter, and Ontario Scholars, his individual achievements were not acknowledged, unlike those of other students. I contacted the school, and they explained that due to the large number of students, they couldn't announce individual achievements. It feels like discrimination towards my son, who worked diligently to earn those honors. It's disheartening to see his efforts not recognized during such an important milestone.

St.Mary is not a good school especially for black students. It is so visible they profile black students. They say treat each other equally, they say love everyone but their actions don’t show that. It is a disgrace. Black students in that school need to strike and say something about this because it doesn’t only start from the teachers but the Vice principals themselves. If anybody had to ask this question: Is there any black stuff in St.Mary? The answer will be No. The only black teacher I have seen in St. Mary came there a few months ago. That does not change the fact that almost everyone in that school is white and there is nothing wrong with that at all. The issues here is that St.Mary needs to change their wicked ways. When they talk about systemic racism think of St.Mary Secondary School. It’s like they are even tired of hiding it now, you see,feel,hear, it. WE NEED BLACK TEACHERS. not only teachers. what is wrong with a Black person being a Vice Principal or Principal because it looks like when black stuff is hired they put to mostly work with disabilities classes. I find that really questionable on why. I have been to St.Mary and never felt comfortable or appropriated once. All they do is pretend. They try to hide it. I had no other choice but to go to St.Mary because it is the closest school to me and the bus can pick me and drop me off. I SAY SOMETHING HAS TO BE DONE AND THIS MATTER SHOULD BE PUT ON CP24.
