About Melt Studio and Gallery
Melt Studio and Gallery is a unique art space located in a historic air force barracks just outside Picton, built in 1940 as part of the British Commonwealth Air Training Plan. Managed by Canadian encaustic artist Susan Wallis, it serves as her working studio and showcases the work of over 25 local and Canadian artists and artisans. The gallery aims to promote public awareness and appreciation of visual arts by exhibiting a variety of artwork from different artists and mediums. Visitors can enjoy a bright, airy, and spacious environment with multiple rooms that feature diverse and beautiful art pieces. The gallery regularly hosts changing exhibitions, with collections updated every one or two months, offering fresh themes and displays that encourage repeat visits. Building is in transition. An H hut from WW2 era. Former BCATP base is being repurposed. See Base 31. Gallery has a very interesting contemporary collection of artists. Worth the visit.

You almost miss it because of the construction but the small gallery has an assortment of different artists featured
