The Danish Place is a hidden gem known for its authentic Danish cuisine and welcoming atmosphere. Located in Puslinch, it offers a variety of traditional dishes such as open-faced sandwiches, roast pork, frikadeller (Danish meatballs), and a Danish smorgasbord, which many visitors consider the best in the GTA. The food is consistently delicious and well-prepared, with favorites including schnitzel, gravlax, chicken and asparagus tart, and gnocchi. The menu caters to diverse dietary needs, offering vegetarian and vegan options, and the staff are friendly and helpful in accommodating allergies and dietary restrictions. The environment is peaceful, surrounded by nature, and suitable for families. The restaurant is very kid-friendly, providing high chairs and accommodating children’s needs. Accessibility is thoughtfully considered, with wheelchair accessible entrances and ramps, although gravel roads outside may pose some challenges in wet conditions. Parking is limited but manageable with a small lot and a one-way loop road. Visitors appreciate the friendly service, the cozy ambiance, and the quality of the food, making each visit a pleasant experience. While the kitchen may still be working out some kinks on opening nights, overall, The Danish Place is highly recommended for those seeking authentic Danish food in a quiet, scenic setting. It is a place worth the drive and offers a memorable dining experience for all.
