Nice little grocery store. Staff were very helpful and friendly. You can find pretty much anything you need. The store is very well stocked. The prices are not that high. The meat department is excellent. They have a great variety of cuts and sizes. The sausages are excellent and the pork chops are very well cut. The meat prices are very good for the quality of meat you get. I will definitely stop in there whenever I go to the island. I highly recommend a stop at this store.

Your first question might be "why is it called the Island Market?" The answer is because it's a market on the island.Your second question might be "is it worth going?" Do you need to eat? I do. So I go to the Island Market. Because I'm on the island and so is the market. In my curious and bespeckled past, I have been in situations where I had to decide between bad food and not eating. Fortunately, I have standards, so of course I took the latter. Since I moved to the island, I have not once chosen the latter. I guess you could say that the Island Market is pretty great. It's got a great meat selection, a good variety of sauces, spices, and snackages for a good variety of flavors, and a great selection of locally sourced goods (read: that person who just walked by you is probably related to someone who made it. You should ask them to thank you for buying it).Have you ever wanted to run your arm along a shelf to add 10 different types of delicious local coffees to your cart, stock up on your weekly 3 liters of milk and 3 liters of maple syrup at the same time, or ask the person next to you for the grower of that tomato's Social Insurance Number? You'll never get that experience anywhere else but the Island Market.Buy authentic instant noodles, than walk 2 metres and grab tortillas.Get local green onions the thickness of your pinky.Obtain teas you'd never heard of but now can't stop talking about.Achieve inner peace. All at the Island Market.

Some of the best butter tarts ever! They would be even better if they made walnut and raisin ones ?Update... Also the best place to stop for a quick, hearty breakfast on the way off the island! Cheers folks

Small village market. Friendly and helpful staff. Prices are what you'd expect from a small village grocery store, but you can buy most of what you need here.
