This gym used to be great back in 2019/2020 but the management is now TERRIBLE. Not only is it inanely busy but the management does not care about you. The guys at the front desk were talking with their backs faced me when I came in. It also looks like they are all kids working so that explains why they are unprofessional. Not to mention the personal trainers and sales team at this gym are terrible as well. Do not waste your money.

Nice gym but misleading membership price offering. That is, Movati promotes the average price of $49.99 bi-weekly.Let’s do the math:$49.99 plus tax is $56.49$56.49 x 2 = $112.97/month x 12 months= $1355.72/ year.But wait, there’s more! The initial fees of $177 have to be added. So $177 divided by 12 = $14.75So your monthly cost is$112.97 + $14.75 = $127.72They promote $49.99 bi weekly but it’s really $127/mo or $1370.47/year.

Buyer beware.....This establishment is all about pressured selling and illegal contract.Do not sign or accept anything when you go there. Get a print out of their contract, take it home, read it, then if you are happy sign and enjoy your membership. But their pumped up sales force is to get you sign their contract and lock you in for a long term by providing false information. This is how this establishment makes money. I was told you can give one month notice and cancel anytime, but later found out they got my signature for a committed long term contract.

As a person and Fitness Instructor Elham’s exercises motivates members including myself to continue to stay disciplined and motivated in the gym.She is very personable and an expert in what she brings to Movati Athletics. We absolutely love her Aqua classes and look forward to trying her classes of different formats.Elham tries to help our individual needs always, she is very bright and her aura gives me good energy and that alone makes me want to come to the gym. Thank you Richmond Hill Movati Athletics for choosing Elham to be apart of your wonderful group fitness team.

I have been going to this gym for a while now and it’s great from the staff to the equipment and cleanliness. Despite this there is one glaring problem. The hours. For some reason a gym I am paying over $90 a month for is not open past 8PM on the weekends. That’s right 8PM. Not to mention the weekdays where it’s open only until 12. For the price this gym should be open at least until 12 on weekends. Other than that I enjoy the gym.

I’ve been at this gym for the last couple of years and the instructors are great with lots of different classes offered. One of the instructors, Shima, is always very motivating. I love taking her classes, she plays great music, switches things up, and comes around to check on everyone to ensure their posture is correct. If you join the gym, I highly recommend you try her classes!

Horrible customer service, this isn’t being a “high end” gym especially for the price I’m paying. I was going on vacation so I tried calling them to freeze or cancel my membership many times and even emailed and no one got back. I had to visit in person after my vacation and then had to wait a whole month notice prior to cancellation. Wasted hundreds of dollars and hours of my time. This gym is the only “high end” gym with a women’s only section in the area so it has no problems with members leaving as they have so many members themselves.

I went to Movaty Gym in Richmond Hill, Ontario on Saturday, July 15, 2023, with the hope of having a relaxing time at the spa. Unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfying, and I feel it's important to share it with others.When I arrived around 7 PM, I asked the front desk guy, who seemed really tired, for two towels. He gave me a downbeat response, saying they couldn't provide two towels that day due to some policy. I was pretty annoyed because I came to enjoy my Saturday and needed those towels for the spa and shower. But he just kept repeating the policy without any sympathy, and it was frustrating.I couldn't understand why they didn't notify us about this policy in advance. I mean, we're paying for the full service, and the least they could do is have a friendly face at the entrance, right? Instead, this guy made me feel like I was bothering him. I told him I wasn't angry, just disappointed, and insisted on getting two towels. But he flat-out refused, saying I only had less than 40 minutes left and the gym was closing soon.To make matters worse, I noticed a bunch of towels under the desk, but he claimed they were reserved for tomorrow and there was a shortage. That didn't sit well with me because they should have let us know about this beforehand, so we could plan accordingly. And honestly, the first guy's attitude and lack of professionalism just ruined my mood and my Saturday.When I asked to speak to a manager, I was told none were available, even though I could see people in the management office, next he said he is signing contract with customer! It felt like they didn't care about addressing member concerns.In a nutshell, my visit to Movaty Gym was a letdown due to the lack of communication, the uninterested attitude of the staff, and the absence of any managerial presence. They need to get their act together and make sure their staff is friendly and attentive. It wouldn't hurt to have a suggestion box or a way for members to provide feedback, and most importantly, they need to actually listen and take action.Keep in mind that this is just happened for first-time at front desk today and want like that before! However, I sincerely hope that Movaty Gym takes these issues seriously and improves their services for the sake of their members' satisfaction.

I recently had a highly frustrating experience with a gym that I pay $106 per month for, expecting to receive good service and amenities. Unfortunately, my experience with this gym has been nothing short of disappointing, leaving me feeling utterly unsatisfied and disrespected as a customer.One of the primary reasons I chose this gym was the promise of two clean towels provided with my membership. However, time and again, they consistently failed to deliver on this basic commitment. Instead, due to their alleged "short staff," they would provide only one towel, making it extremely inconvenient for me to have to repeatedly ask for another. This inconsistency in their towel service was not only unprofessional but also showed a lack of respect for their customers.Another significant issue that deeply concerns me every time is the lack of attention given to the pool water quality. It is essential for a gym to maintain a clean and hygienic pool environment to ensure the safety and well-being of its members. Unfortunately, this gym failed to meet even the minimum standards in this regard. I noticed that they seldom checked the water quality, which not only compromises the health of the swimmers but also raises serious questions about their commitment to maintaining a clean and safe facility.

So far I've been enrolled for a month ish and I absolutely love it. It's so cleannnnnnnnnnnnn!!! which is seriously amazing because it's what so many other gyms lack. they always have at least one person in the change room making sure it's clean, and the gym rooms too. I only really go to the women's section so I'm in a bit of a bubble but it's very comfortable, and not really overbearing with a bunch of people depending on the time you get there of course. There's space for everyone though and mainly I love how comfortable I feel coming here!

Ahh man this gym was great back in 2018.Came in today and there were 5 staff members behind the front desk doing nothing. Wasn’t greeted or offered a towel, they were all socializing about the parties they went to over the weekend.Only a handful of staff here have good customer service skills. The cleaning staff are great.I remember in 2018 management was actually going around the gym every couple hours to put weights away.

I am writing this review to express my dissatisfaction with the services provided by Movati Athletic in Richmond Hill. I have had a very disappointing experience with this club, specifically with the customer service provided by their front desk staff.I have encountered several issues with my membership, being told I’m not aloud to use the gym at time because I’m from London Ontario and unexpectedly being cancelled without my knowledge. Despite being a loyal customer for years and having patience wit many attempts to resolve these issues with the front desk staff, I have received little to no assistance or explanation. The staff has been unresponsive, never take notes and are very rude and unhelpful, which has made the situation even more frustrating.Overall, my experience with Movati Athletic in Richmond Hill has been very unsatisfactory, and I would not recommend this club to anyone. The lack of communication and customer service has been unacceptable, and I am disappointed with the quality of their facilities.

I am a member of Movati in richmondhill location. I registered there just because of its women pool but unfortunately the pool is sooo dirty, full of hair and so disgusting to swim in! I complained so many times to front desk and ask them to clean the pool or at least remove the hairs but no body cars! its so disappointing

I'm editing my previous review from 5 stars to 3 ( to be honest it's 2.5 stars for me ) I hope the management read this review and consider to make better change in their business decisions.I joined Movati in 2018 and was very happy with this club until recently. When I first joined, this gym had everything , and stood out from other chain of gyms in the area. I used to brag about Movati all the time and recommended to many of my friends. The amenities that came with the club membership that was most enticing to me was that not only it's a place for me to workout , Movati also takes care of my family; the play room, the family swim hours , there were even swim lessons I could sign up for my kids.I understand a lot of things have to get canceled during the pandemic, but now not only the family swim time is still not available in the Richmond hill location, the play room will be closed permanently as of July 2023. The club now offers less compare to pre-pandemic, it really doesn't stand out to other chains of gym anymore.Movati is still a good place to workout , the fitness classes are great, instructors are mostly good, but as a long time member, seeing more and more amenities being taken away while paying the same rate, it's not a very nice feeling.
