If I could give 0 stars I would! All the tellers are rude! I dropped my CC at this location and when I went back to retrieve it and teller laughed about how she cut my CC! Poor customer service specially to minorities.

I went into the branch to have something done by the manager Allison and Suzanne. Amazing service from both these ladies. Every time I go into the branch, I am always greeted with a smile and they are willing to help. AMAZING BRANCH😊

I have had nothing but success when dealing with this branch. Our financial advisor Peggy is amazing.
6yrs later and this branch is still top notch. And Peggy is still our financial advisor. She is personable, knowledgeable and has not steered us wrong. Thank you SB Russell. 😊

A terrible organization from the top down. If I could go back in time and bank with literally anyone else I would gladly do so.

They are a horrible institute. They will freeze your money without reason and they don’t care about you unless you owe them. Once I paid my house off I sat with over 100k in my account and was never asked or assisted with investing. They have call nights where they will call people with over 50k and o offer advise and help. But if you owe them nothing they will do nothing for you. When I wanted to pay off my mrg they tried to scare me by telling me I’d pay a penalty. I have no education yet I was able to show them that they were idiot's for trying to scare me cause it’s cheaper to pay the penalty then the interest over the rest of the loan. Crooks that won’t work for you they just want you to owe them money.

Scotia Bank in general is not the same, their service has gone down drastically. I had fraud on my Scotia Amex, called in their call center to wait over an hour so I could speak to a "fraud specialist". The individual I spoke to G. Gold (or so she said he name was) was outrageously incompetent. I had some various fraud transactions and the same transactions repeated each month on the same day for the same amount and that seemed like a foreign concept to her, I had to multiple times repeat the same things nothing the same fraud transactions on the same date for the same amount and noting all the other fraud transactions. After she read me her legal jargon I asked her to repeat what dates, transactions and amounts I claimed were fraud, are you surprised that she had it wrong? After approximately 45 minutes of what was a painful call with the Scotia "fraud specialist" I googled the Russell branch to see if it was opened and it was. I made my way there as I felt my Amex was still open and my fraud concerns were not addressed by the "fraud specialist. When I got to the branch they were closed due to staff shortage, that happens. The branch manager was at the door and I briefly explained my situation to him that I was on a call with a Scotia "fraud specialist" totaling almost 2 hours including the wait time and he told me the best thing was to wait until tomorrow when he can call me back or call the fraud department as they are short staffed at the branch and no one can help me. I asked what if there is more fraud on my account who will be responsible, he answered they will. After some more discussions regarding my in-satisfaction regarding the matter and how I was being handled, he then offered to communicate via email as he could help me that way to get things moving. Perfect I thought, he comes back with a card with his Name, telephone number and email address written on it. I drive back home and pull out the card and it is not legible. I know this branch manager has been there for several months now, how can he not have proper business cards in his name? Before you think of banking with Scotia do your research, they are not the quality bank they once were. I am not going to promote any banks on this post, I have been researching for a while now as this is not my first instance of poor service from Scotia and there are on-line banks that are cheaper to deal with that will offer you better service.

I don't know why there are so many negative comments about this Branch? I have been dealing with Scotiabank Russell for over 11 years and have always found the Management and Staff to be very friendly and helpful. One of the best bank branches I have dealt with in over 50 years of banking.

Incredibly professional yet very personable with that small town feel. We've truly enjoyed our banking experience so far, since moving to Russell!

-Great staff-Phone system is probably the worst I have ran into, press 1 for blah blah blah.- I been told that this bank is a training ground for the larger locations which would explain why you get a different financial advisor every few years.
