I had a very unpleasant experience at the H&M in Sarnia's Lambton Mall, which has left me questioning their customer service standards. My friend and I were shopping for tights, and she needed help with sizing. When she approached an associate for assistance, a cashier (Malayali, from what I could tell) abruptly intervened and told the associate to move on to the next customer without even attempting to address our question.
Her dismissive attitude and complete lack of interest in helping us were shocking. This interaction not only made us feel uncomfortable but also unwelcome in the store. We were so put off by the lack of basic courtesy and professionalism that we decided not to purchase anything.
As customers, we expect at least a minimum level of respect and support, but this experience fell far below those expectations. I hope the management takes immediate action to address this and trains their staff to treat customers with the attention and respect they deserve. Until then, I won’t be returning to this location. Would not recommend. 0/10.

My friend and I recently visited H&M for shopping, and unfortunately, we had a very unpleasant experience with one of the staff members. She was working at the cash counter during the closing shift, but she also seemed to handle sales. On two occasions, I approached her for assistance, and both times, her responses were rude and dismissive. Her attitude completely ruined our shopping experience, making us hesitant to even purchase the items we had selected. It's disappointing to see staff with such unprofessional behavior—perhaps the management should reconsider their hiring and training processes to ensure better customer service.

There’s a staff member at the H&M store in Lambton Mall who is racist! It was a horrible experience. H&M has always been my go-to place in the mall, but this was my first time encountering such behavior. 😖😡

Although I usually find clothing I like, I was very frustrated at a recent interaction whereby they wouldn't let me purchase the dress off the mannequin when that was the only item in my size left. They insisted they needed a manager before removing it, so they could be told what to put on the mannequin next. This was 35 minutes before closing and the manager was to be in first thing in the morning. This kind of non-critical thinking drives me nuts. I'm sure they were just following protocol but that is terrible customer service and their policies need to be reevaluated. Surely putting anything on the mannequin for the time being would be an acceptable solution.
They offered to put my name on it so I could come back, but I didn't want to reward incompetence by taking 30 minutes out of my day to return to the mall, so I guess H&M lost a sale - and my bank account is better for it.
