I had a really enjoyable experience shopping at Marks. Audrey, the salesperson, was extremely helpful. She went above and beyond to make sure I got everything I wanted. She was patient and very kind. Not to mention that the store had a huge variety of sales which included everything I wanted. Thank you Mark's and thank you Audrey!

I didn't have a good experience at check out. It was closing time and I asked the cashier what temperature does the jacket hold uptp for a Helly Hansen winter jacket. The manager Gen answers saying its good for Canadian winters in a condescending tone assuming I haven't experienced a Canadian winter. I have lived in the Prairies for 5 winters and know exactly how cold it gets in Canada. Then she proceeds to say are you going on an Arctic expedition? If not then it's good for winters in Sarnia. And walks away. She doesn't know why I need it for and if I walk to work or bike. She just assumed because I was brown I don't know what I'm talking about. It's becoming quite blatant how I'm being treated in the service industry. Makes me not want to go shop at stores and instead order online. And shop at ethnic stores where I will be comfortable with my interaction. Just having a brown person at the counter isn't enough, the way you answer and treat people of color shows who you are. I'm not new to this country in fact been here since early 2000's. People forget we're living Ina multi national country.

Do a lot of online shopping but went into the Marks location at Lambton mall because I was looking for a pair of everyday shoes. They happened to have a buy one, get second at 50% sale so took advantage of that. The employee who cashed me out, Chris, was super friendly and helpful. Excellent customer service that I haven’t seen in a long time anywhere.

The best part was the check-out staff. My wife and I spent over $350 with plenty of good discounts. Noah rang us up - he was friendly, professional, and a big help. Top notch service from this young man!

I’ve been to Marks twice recently. I had a great experience and an OK experience.
My first experience was on a weekend afternoon. I was struggling to find what I was looking for at first, but then found it with the help of a kind employee Maria. The store is neat and clearly labelled, but some products are tough to tell apart. I went to the fitting room to try it on alongside my wife and she found the benches comfortable. Additionally, many staff were hard at work such as the aforementioned Maria yet they still made time to speak to us. I felt valued and appreciated. After finding all items, I went to the front register and had a cashier named Noah. He was very kind and funny, and helped me get a good deal by splitting up my purchase. Another cashier Drew also was there, and informed me of a deal involving a Mastercard. While I did not sign up, I appreciated being told once and, when I declined, he very politely said there was no problem. The two cashiers then sent me on my way and I left feeling happy.
My second time in was a little less pleasant, but not bad. I went in in the later evening on a weekday, probably around six o clock. I knew what I was looking for, so I didn’t need any help from floor staff. The fitting room was significantly more packed with items, and there was no attendant present. I let myself into an open room on my own, and when I finished trying on my items, left the fitting room open behind me as no attendant was in sight. I went to the register to pay, and met a very nice gentleman named Jay. Jay was very nice and well spoken, and chatted with me quite candidly about my item choice. He also made me aware of all of the different promotions. The only thing is he was quite insistent with the Mastercard despite me declining, asking around three or four times even after I said no. I understand that is part of his job, but I would have preferred if he only asked once or twice. While this second experience wasn’t bad by any means, the first was just a lot better. I would’ve liked a fitting room attendant present, as it felt a little odd entering when nobody was there, and I wouldn’t have minded if the cashier was a bit less insistent, but otherwise he was very personable and my experience was nice.
I am happy to shop at marks, and I will keep shopping there because of the good experiences. Thank you

I shop here for many reasons, but one being that it's part of CT. This occasion was not pleasant. First, after having to clean up all the shoes and boots that were left on the only chair available to try on boots, I asked for help, and nobody seemed fazed by it. I moved what I needed, put matching footwear back, and sat down with 7 boxes of footwear to try on. Finally, after breaking it down to 3 pair, I made the choice only to be told they weren't part of the sale. These boots, along with all 7 boxes underneath them, were in the spot that were to be 30 dollars off. The guy told us, "Nope, someone put them in the wrong spot." After looking with him, he said, "I don't know what happened here, but none of these are on sale." He moved them and walked away. I said I'd like to speak to someone about this because where I work, we would have honored this as it was clearly not only one in the wrong spot. It was several. The employee put his earbud in, and that's it. I finally chose to get the HH shoes because I wasn't going to get anywhere with him. I am looking forward to speaking to what I thought was a manager at the front. While checking out, she walked away just as we walked up and passed us off to a young gentleman at cash. Apparently, she had more important things to do than to make a repeat customer. Sadly, I will now need to take it a step further. I work in retail, and I would never want a customer feeling like I did... Sadly, I didn't force this communication at this point as I was completely disappointed with my last experience. Advice would be to coach these staff members on why customers matter, and maybe a big change will take place.
I did get HH, but they were cheaper than what I wanted and still would have spent more. However, I lost out on my 30 dollars in rewards because of this. I know CT rewards would honor it if I called, but why should everyone take a hit for one or two mistakes. I will leave at that but please talk to your staff... It's worth it.

I visited the store twice over the holiday season, Dec 18th and Dec 24th.Both times I receive excellent customer service.Kylie assisted me Dec 18th, providing her input and took me straight to the checkout as soon as decided on my purchases.Drew assisted me Dec 24th with a return and new purchase, even tried on one of the items for me to help with determining size.
