I had booked an appointment with a financial advisor. Called me hours prior to my appointment while I was at work and I requested to call me later for which she denied. She gave me a firm ‘No’ answer to a question I had without hearing me out and I wanted to enquire more about my circumstance. Too bad service.

Unfortunately my family member has investments and banking here, if not, I would have them leave this branch immediately. I don't know why I keep trying to see if they would change but 2 main incidents recently left me quite bitter and angry. I will never support them myself and would have my family member leave them sooner if possible.

I wanted to access my accounts with my new debit card. Had to contact a customer service rep. He asked me a series of questions. Scotia makes a big deal of their voice recognition but according to the rep it doesn't always work all the time. I missed a question. OK, which one. He couldn't tell me. Go to your branch he says. I'm a senior with no vehicle. So sorry, he says. I'm sorry too. Time to close my Scotia accounts.

Excellent! Heimal Halai did an fantastic job today. Just the help I needed. Stopped in frustrated. My debit card not working. I guess it got hacked or something, all that online shopping. Excellent! He was a great help!

what a joke. I just visited the bank about a suspicious transaction and they couldn’t even give me my own banking statements just because the lines were long. Yeah that’s what the representative said! So i should just give up almost 500$ and go home then? I don’t know what to think of this.

The tellers are lovely to talk to but they screw up easily or maybe just get distracted easily. I've had to go in 3 times this week to fix their error. It is still not resolved, but Ill resolve it at a different branch. Years ago I had an awful Financial Advisor here who thought he tied my saving account to the market. It wasnt and he still works there. Months later, at a different branch, an advisor told me my account wasn't accruing any interest and asked me why my account was set up like that.
