“Live in Ottawa and am a regular Eddie Bauer customer. Enjoy visiting the SSM outlet, which often has the latest in products & colours. Was in the SSM store on the afternoon of Thursday Aug 15, 2024 & had a positive customer experience.

A sales associate greeted me with a cheery "hello". Was making a specific purchase of a long-sleeved shirt for outdoor athletics. She came back to the racks to make sure I had the right product, a Resolution Tee in Storm colour ?

She was wearing a grey Eddie Bauer sweatshirt & personified the brand. She took my information and applied my loyalty credit and another corporate credit. Was very happy with my purchase. Said I was going sailing that night & next week & would have some sun protection ☀️

She mentioned there was a line of SPF-resistant clothing in the store. Intrigued, asked for a preview & she showed me the Solarfoil hoodies. Selected a sky-blue hoodie, tried it on, and purchased it right away. It was 50% off! Thanks to the young associate for listening and directing me to a new line ?

Wore the Solarfoil hoodie that evening sailing the south wind on the St. Mary's River & will wear it on future expeditions ⛵️

Was wearing another brand of sailing shorts that evening but regretted not wearing my EB First Ascent guide shorts for the superior fit & function. Lesson learned.

Have outdoor guide accreditation & certification but EB doesn't offer offer pro discounts to guides. Seems a bit odd given the marketing of First Ascent & other lines. Apologies if I'm inaccurate in my assessment.

Can't complain too much about discounts due to EB's regular discounts, 50% & clearance specials which augment the value of the superior products & services. The loyalty rebates are much appreciated.

Will apply my next loyalty rebate towards the new bronze-coloured First Ascent pants. Haven't seen them in Ottawa yet. As usual, the SSM store is at the forefront of cutting-edge fashion.”

“I was in today (at the Sault Ste. Marie store in Station Mall) to pick up an online order. Unfortunately, I had to return it because it took too long to arrive and I had already bought another black skirt by then. So, whoever was helping me processed my pick up and then return back-to-back with no questions asked and the broadest smile! She even opened my package for me. She was so pleasant, I don't know her name but she has very short hair (probably curly) and she was working today between 12:15 PM and 1:15 PM.

I visit this store a lot, and every single time this lady is so pleasant, always in a good mood and always so happy to help. She deserves a raise!! It may not be a big deal for someone else but for a person like me who is shy to ask for anything - it means a lot when I gather all my courage to request a return right after picking up the order and I am not made to feel like a burden.
